Has there ever been a boxer to hold a belt for 8+ years and still be so unrecognized? I know the knocks. The boring style, the controversial decisions, the multiple fights that haven't happened. But damn. Obviously the featherweight division rarely holds on to great fighters as they invariably move up in weight in search of bigger fights, but John holding on to the belt for so long is still an accomplishment. Where does he rank among all time FW's? And if you were a guy like Gamboa, would it be worth fighting in Indonesia to get a win over John?
