Cintron is Under-rated

Cintron can't fight in the inside so any body punches he does will be minimum, and he can't shorten his punches in an instant.

Cintron chin is pretty good he just doesn't react well to pressure and getting hit. And doesn't have the skills necessary to avoid getting punch/push back even by average guys like Feliciano and Martinez(this motherfucker is average i don't give a fuck what HBO says).

A round could end w/ Cintron take punishment on the ropes.....10 seconds into the following round he is back on the ropes or in a corner taking punishment...


The hook of the jab work vs. Angulo cause the dude is slow as hell....and low boxing IQ Miguel Cotto would be hit once or twice with it..but after that he would figure that all Cintron has.....Hook of the jab....and rollin' and countering w/ the right uppercut...

 

I agree. I also noticed his look when things were getting heated. But I must admit I was impressed with him. He showed a few improvements and he threw over 1K punches. Thats impressive. Though that look of his at times worried me.

 

I think Cintrons only chance vs Cotto would be a 1 punch knockout. Other than that he will be brutally broken down and stopped.

 

How the fuck is Cintron going to KO Cotto when the dude doesn't even punch that hard. Please tell me where and when Cintron proved he's a devastating puncher? I've been trying to end that myth forever, and shame on Max Kellerman for saying during the broadcast that Cintron was a 1 punch KO artist. Angulo's team reported after the fight that Angulo was sick leading up to and the day of the fight and that he didn't even eat anything. Winning a fight doesn't prove a guy is a better fighter than we thought he was, the world is grey Double L, not black and white. Also you need to find a new message board to post on if you actually believe Cintron would give Mosley or Cotto any trouble in a fight.

 

Man, haven't you ever heard of "picking your battles"? You know, fight the ones you actually CAN win, and the ones where you were as wrong as the day is long, you relent?

For God's sake, you started in this thread talking about how Cintron "sucked", and then you taunted us with your message implying Angulo would knock him out by saying Double L would be back after this fight saying "the ref counted to ten too fast".

But no it's all "I'm unimpressed", "I knew it blah blah blah." You didn't know shit. You were completely, unequivocally, flat-out WRONG. A guy you said "sucks" and you said would lose by KO instead won in rather dominant fashion, thus by your own damn words PROVING you were underrating him, and here you are still arguing? God I feel sorry for your wife.

I don't even know you, you're probably a great guy to go bowling with, but please just man up and admit you were 180 degrees WRONG here. A few other guys should do the same. There's no shame in it, Double L will probably be completely wrong in his next thread anyway.

 

I agree that Cintron dosent punch as hard as people think. He does have a decent punch though.

He can hit no doubt about it. But he hasnt proved his power against top opposition. The 154 version of Tito would have put that Mexican Cintron fought to sleep inside 5 rounds.

I've always liked you Outlander, you don't post that often but usually when you do it's often pretty intellegent and well worth the wait. That said, you have to understand, I never actually predicted Cintron would get KO'd. I made a joke saying that when Cintron got KO'd Double L would probably make a thread saying he deserved to win, but it wasn't a serious prediction. Admittedly I did expect Cintron to lose, but having never seen Angulo fight before I wasn't being serious with the KO aspect of that prediction and was basing the loss on Cintron's sucktitude.

Another thing: I'm a very outspoken guy, I've also been wrong quite a bit and therefore have no problem admitting when I'm wrong. However, I have to actually feel I've been proven wrong and I don't feel that has happened. Yes, Cintron won a fight, but I don't feel just because he won a fight it proves he is underrated. All this proves is that Angulo is a worse fighter than Cintron is, who knows how well Angulo would do if he wasn't sick, but I'm not even going to play that card. Cintron won the fight, at times he even impressed me, but overall, as a fighter I still think Cintron sucks. He's not as bad as I make him out to be, but he also isn't underrated.

The day Cintron comes out and KO's somebody worth a damn, then I can admit I was wrong, but Angulo, with his 15 measly fights against low level opposition is not anything to go overboard about.
