Mosley doesn't move. He'll be in front of Cotto all night.

    Fake ass Puerto Rican!

collazo is fairly strong at 147. mosley handled him w/ ease. i'm sure cotto is just as strong if not stronger, but the difference is that he's not as mobile nor is his defense as good as collazo's. however, he does punch much harder.

i think this is an even fight, considering mosley's age. i'm still going w/ cotto but i might change my mind later.

    GREAT UNDERCARD FIGHT!!!:cheer:

I expect Clottey to win unless he comes in with stamina issues(called not training enough:lol: ) and gasses. Collazo is a tough SOB and will probably hang in there all night. If Clottey fades down the stretch, he could be the one getting stretched:cool:

I wouldn't say that either would become an elite welter, but I give them credit for making the fight...

If Collazo and Mosley win, would you want to see that rematch? I wouldn't. I'm not sure Collazo fares any better against Cotto than Quintana did.

Clottey is an interesting matchup with either Cotto or Mosley "however" if Shane beats Cotto and Mayweather wins...that's the biggest fight in the division.

With that said, it's a VERY good supporting fight.

** You forgot to use the Manny Steward version...e-LIGHT welter**

I don't get people painting Mosley up as the loser. Cotto is nothing Mosley hasn't faced before, a strong face first puncher that's going to take a lot more than he dishes out. Mosley maybe 36, but that does not automatically translate into a loss. I could see if he looked like he was showing his age in his last fight, but on the contrary, his last 2 fights have been the best he's looked in years and in the Collazo fight which I watched very closely, all his reflexes and speed was right there just like in his youth. Mosley is also very good at blocking the kind of hooks that Cotto likes to throw.

Thinking of Cotto as "a face first puncher" is the first reason why you're not getting it, bro.

The second is thinking that Mosley looks exactly like he did in his youth. He looked good, but Vargas was GONE when Mosley faced him the second time and Collazo was able to connect clean relatively often for how little he tended to throw.

Mosley was always on the move and using feints and head movement vs. Collazo and landing those rights....but that meant he was rarely sitting on his punches. He did look quick and with good reflexes, but that compromised his offense.

The pressure Cotto brings is on an entirely different level...and it's not just "face-first punching" either.

    I think it's a great fight.

    Peace.

Mosley was not always on the move in that fight. He was right in Collazo's face the whole time and only moved back occasionally to get out of punching range, but he was not having any problems with Collazo's offense. He looked great in that fight, he was I felt sitting on his punches and it was Collazo who was running. I had picked Mosley before based mainly on being a fan and hope, but after rewatching the Collazo fight, I know he's going to win. I've made a sig beat with someone on here and have a bet for a case of beer with a guy at work. I do agree that it will be a great fight too.
