Oddly, it isn't an automatically bad card. You could score a load of rounds for Rakhimov if you preferred his pressure over Cordina's crisp counters. MTF
all of the announcers sound silly with their gimmicks. diamante actually knows quite a bit about boxing and is a good guy.
This was a good fight. But moreso, I thought it was a brilliant performance by Cordina. Didnt agree with the close scores at all. I thought Cordina controlled the fight and landed the cleaner shots. How the fuck does a judge score it 116-111 for Rac? And Bellew's scorecard was just idiotic.
It certainly is in my opinion, especially considering the knockdown - that's 9 rounds for Rak....no fucking way.
I absolutely agree with your reading of the fight. I thought Cordina fought beautifully off the backfoot and landed the harder, sharper, more hurtful punches throughout. I had him well ahead before I stopped scoring around round ten. As I said in this thread, though, it was also obviously to me that others were likely to be scoring the less effective but eye-catching pressure from Rakhimov. Bellew, an idiot, certainly was. The close cards reflected that. MTF
I thought the card completely at odds with my scoring of the fight but I absolutely understand how someone could come to it. It isn't uncommon - pressure fighters often accumulate rounds. MTF
