Short of a haymaker landing flush on PBF's chin, I give Cotto almost zero chance of beating Floyd. Cotto is just to slow, of hand and foot. Floyd can stand and trade and beat Cotto IMO, but when he also has the option of easily hitting and running away, I just see no chance for Cotto.

Hatton at least is akward, borderline clumsy and might actually frustrate Floyd with his clinches. He's also much faster in hand and foot speed than Cotto. I don't give Hatton a big chance but it's a lot more than I give Cotto. It's too bad Mosley's going to ruin any chance of Cotto ever facing Floyd though.

Great job to both fighters for taking on the most difficult fights they could.:cheer: As a boxing fan I pray for Cotto and Hatton to win. Those two matching up undefeated would be a great megafight.:bears:

I think Cotto wins by UD over Mosely. Mosely won't run and Cotto will keep up the pressure constantly to make for a great fight for fans. Mosely will win rounds early but Cotto's persistance and constant pressure will take over around the 4th round and carry on. Mosely's chin is superb, so I don't see a KO, and he is too smart to get trapped for too long to get stopped. Mosely is a true warrior, and will fight to the end.

Nah, Oscar won't be fighting Cotto. I read an article earlier and it said Millie doesn't want Oscar fighting another Puerto Rican fighter. I'll try to find the article.

Yep, but he didn't say Millie told him that, he said he saw in her eyes she didn't want him to fight Cotto.

Maybe he's just trying to earn more "brownie points" with Millie? :dunno: Either that or Oscar cringes at the thought of a Miguel Cotto left hook to the solar plexus.

Oscar can't take Cotto left hooks to the body...

"I still have one big obstacle to get past," De La Hoya said of his wife. "That's going to be the toughest fight of my life. Cotto is out of the question. My wife is the pearl of Puerto Rico. She has said, 'Don't fight another Puerto Rican.' "

GM: With Trinidad coming back in 2008, is there a possibility of you giving us the fight all the fans want? The rematch with the man who gave you your first loss?

    ODLH:
Oh absolutely…if he can come down to 154 I have no problem with it. I hear he’s fighting at 170. That fight would be impossible if he stayed at that weight.

I was inking that initially, but now when I really consider it...Cotto is going to retire Shane.

    Xplosive's logic makes sense from a 1+2+3 = 6 point of view.

    "However" boxing isn't like that.

Shane will engage with Cotto all the way and as such will be hit more often and more accurately than Zab Judah was....as such he could be stopped. Of course Shane could stop Cotto in the early rounds also.

I predict a stoppage one way or ther other.

REED Sorta agrees, but Since U PERSIST N Being HARD on Roy,it's Only FAIR that REED Point Out how Shane Fought like a BITCH N the RE w/Vernon...

Shane was EVERY BIT as PETRIFIED of Vernon as Roy was of Tarver,N the 3rd Fight...

& When U THINK about it,Roy had MORE of a Reason to B SCARED,Since Tarver STOPPED him N their Previous Fight...

As Much as Roy "Bitched Out" N the 3rd Tarver Fight,Shane did LIKEWISE N the RE w/Tarver...

    One thing to consider REED.

In the first round, Shane came out and TRIED to KO Vernon. After that, he fought passively but had a few good rounds sporatically.

Roy never came out with that kind of desire and even in his best round when he hurt Tarver, he was too scared to press the issue.

Neither earned badges of courage in those fights, but Roy's performance was worse than Shane's.

Shane Tried to KO Forrest w/the VERY FIRST Punch he Threw...

    After that,he Fought PASSIVELY:lol: ...

agREED that Shane Wasn't QUITE as Scared as Roy,but REED Can't Stand for a Roy Hater/Shane Fan (Which Lb 4 Lb Is) to Talk about the "Bitch" N Roy w/Out ALSO Referencing the BITCH that Shane Showed N the RE w/Vernon...

Yes, and I already showed you a link showing how Mayweather and Hatton began negotiations in late June, not after Williams-Margarito as you claimed earlier.

    Why?

Mayweather-Hatton was already signed when this thread was started, and they already publically started negotations in late June, before Williams-Margarito fought, as you previously claimed negotiations didn't start until after Williams beat Tony.

From what I seen by looking back at the board is that Mosely/Cotto were in talks BEFORE Hatton/Mayweather but , The Hatton/Mayweather fight was actually signed first ..

IMO all that means is they simply didn't negotiate as long as Cotto/ Mosely.

I've merged these three OLD threads...because having three of them on the first page is messing up the forum!

Anyone got a problem with that? :warning:
