We all have weaknesses, one of mine is that I just love getting lb 4 lb riled up, he's sensitive about Shane. (As you are too my friend. :tease: )

Ha Ha! You reveal your motives too soon my friend. Now there is no need for my brilliant response to your first reply. You wanted us to be like this.... :slap: but you revealed you were merely doing this...:stir: now that I've caught on, you're like this...... and I'm like this......:tease:

There are some very different scenerios that could result.

It is worth noting that Judah often caught Cotto flush, one can disabuse of the notion that Cotto truly has a weak chin.

Mosley may hate a boxer with the reach of Forrest but he can engage at close quarters, so Cotto has no inherent style advantage. It really depends on how much of a technician Cotto is. I tend to think he has better technical skill than people give him credit for. Cotto is also very confident, he does not get riled easily.

The schematics of Cotto's development remind me of the way Vargas was brought along. One cannot help thinking that Cotto's specialization will lead to him facing a guy he can't beat to the body. But Cotto knows how to set his shit up and previal on his opponents.

Mosley IMO has always been solid but I never understood the accolades that some people give him. His athletic ability is good to great but I find his footwork and ring generalship somewhat primitive.

This is the right fight to happen. Hatton and Mayweather Shane and Cotto winners fight. Let Williams fight another tough guy like Cintron or Clottey and he enters the mix.

Why can't they both be great fights? They set up a great fight for the winners, allow Williams to take on another tough solid second tiere guy and get in the mix.... Its all good IMO.

If Mosley is really good enough to beat Cotto (I think Cotto wins) and if Floyd beats Hatton.... that would be a great fight. Maybe after Floyd beats Mosley (inthis scenerio) he can invite Margarito up to the ring and beat him the same night to silence his critics once and for all. Only Double L would say at that point that Floyd ducked Williams.

You say that Cotto and Hopkins have NO head movement. Could it be that they have subtle head movement? Sure Cotto got hit by Judah.... so did a lot of guys like Floyd who have great head movement.

Cotto is a lot more polished technically than people think. He may get hit but not as flush as it may appear. and when he does get tagged he is usually driving his man back. Cotto makes easy work of Mosley. Mosley could catch him in a counter and drop him though.

Shane is actually one of the fighters I like but I prefer Cotto, so you might hear me talk a little bit of shit against Shane during the lead up to the fight... Just to get Shane's fans going a little bit. :stir:

Mosley has some of the best foot work in the game. His ring generalship may not be top notch but I won't let you diss that awesome footwork. Not on my watch Dsimon.

If Mosley is going to fight Cotto, then Mayweather has less options for this fall/winter, and Hatton's team will try to demand more money. They can also use the possibility of a DLH-Hatton fight next year (which I have serious doubts about) as leverage for them to not need the Mayweather fight.

And Floyd's ego and greed will make it hard for them to come to terms if this happens.

    Hopefully I am wrong.

I typed the same post over on another board and was too lazy to type it out again, so I just copied it.

I thought the frame looked kind of unique so I left it.

    Cotto-Mosley "is imminent"

    Dan Rafael:

Sean Richmond, VA: When should we Freaks expect an announcement regarding Cotto-Mosely?

Dan Rafael: (1:05 PM ET ) It is imminent. They are drafting releases. The only thing not done is Bob Arum finalizing his deal with Cotto. Bob told me this morning down in the press room that they are a few hundred thousand apart. The fight will get done.

Then your suggestion that Mosley-Cotto is the biggest fight in the fall is incorrect.

You might be right, when Hatton knocks this clown out with a body punch, it might very well become the best fight of the century for me.
