He was more entertaining as he stood flat-footed against bigger guys but he's harder to beat on his current form.
No he didn't. He beat him clearly, but didn't make him look silly. Floyd made the Ginge look silly, basic and clueless. You'll be surprised when Cotto beats Alvarez comfortably, showing better speed, skill, ringsmarts, movement, infighting, workrate and stamina.
We'll see. Actually maybe we won't since Cotto thinks going up to 160 to fight Martinez and get paid way less money is a better move for him right now. You have to wonder why he hasn't mentioned Canelo at all. BTW - To all of you who think Canelo is a bum and GGG some kind of god, there's a story out there of them sparring and Alvarez holding his own. I say this because I think highly of GGG and he has a reputation of killing everyone in sparring.
I rate Gaybox too. If they fought, I'd pick Gaybox to beat him up in 1 sided fashion. Sparring is sparring, I don't put much stock on it, but I guess I'd be a bit surprised to hear of Alvarez doing well even in sparring against Gennady.
Canelo held his own against GGG in sparring, and Spadafora held his own with Floyd in sparring. What's your point? GGG would push Canelo's face in.
