    Cotto by decision. Probably close/controversial.

I have no idea what you're talking about. What has that got to do with Canelo already making excuses for not fighting Gaybox?

Weight isn't even the issue, just a convenient excuse. Cotto ain fighting GGG.

If Cotto fights GGG, he will demand GGG come in at 156 RIGHT BEFORE HE STEPS IN THE RING. That's right folks. There will be scale right outside the ring.

That should be allowed if you are more popular and have more money than your opponent. In fact it should be put in the rulebook.

golovkin doesnt deserve a fight with cotto, he needs to prove himself vs some obscure light heavyweights first

I think he should get a title at 175 and keep having catch weight fights @ 169 pounds. He should then fight everybody but Kovalev because GGG is not a true light heavyweight.

If the champion sought after GGG, then he should

Cotto's movement should win it for him. That's how Floyd did it. Really would rather see Mayweather vs Cotto 2.

Just finish rewatching Floyd vs. Canelo.....I think Canelo is a good fighter...NOT great or anything but definitely the best or 2nd best 154 pounder after Cotto(flooder)....and FLOYD completely dominated him...Floyd didn't run(never has really people just liek saying that for some reason)..he stood infront of ALvarez and dominated him with speed, defense and a much higher boxing IQ...

Cotto needs to stay inside of Canelo only thing he has to worry inside is the UPPERCUT....but since Canelo goes loca with it...leaving his body expose Cotto should have many opportunities to land body shots. At mid-range Canelo artillery is more diverse..the left hook/right hand/power jab....Cotto stays inside lands short left hooks to the head and body....he Ko's Canelo...

I hope Cotto doesn't try to get cute and try to outbox or stick and move vs. Canelo....

Looks like ggg must move up and fight Ward (whose next fight is on BET). Otherwise, he's not the goods.

I think after being a dominant champion at 160, he should move up to 168 and fight everyone in the division there, then move up to 175 and do the same there. Then, at the tail end of his career, he can move up to cruiserweight and have catchweight fights at 188, so people can hate on him for not fighting a big young cruiserweight who's supposedly the next Evander Holyfield, but hasn't fought anyone worth a damn yet.

I think Canelo wins this. Cotto will be in it for a bit, but youth will prevail.

After good exchanges early I see Cotto swelling and getting busted up.

This thread is littered with GGG love masked as Cotto hate.

Agreed. And gave a pretty damn good account of himself against one of them.

For some reason Cotto is ridiculously underrated on Fightbeat.

And the most devoted Cotto fan isn't 1/32 as annoying as Floyd and Pac fans. It's a good thing that fight was crap. It shut up both sides.

The level of GGG love on this forum is what's overrated.

GGG has FANS, but I can't think of anybody on here who's a delusional GGG groupie.

Whereas this forum DOES have somebody who's a devoted a GGG hater - REED.

REED and I feel the same way about GGG...wouldn't classify either of us as haters.

We just want him to stop waiting around looking to glom off the success Canelo and Cotto have. Let his team put up money for a big money fight.
