They can't hurt it. Think about it: a fighter with a high-cup is deemed to have an advantage, think Lewis in the first Holy fight. If a bit of plastic over the ribs of another boxer detracts from the power of his opponent, then what is 4 inches of fat and fur going to do? Especially when it is draped over ribs that have more bone and mass than ANY boxer?

Its basic physics. People who want to think they can hurt a bear need to first spend years learning basic physics. It may keep them alive.

That's strange because Tyson once offered a zoo-keeper 10K to allow him to step into the gorilla cage and punch the sh*t out of a Silverback. No joke!

Gorilla is a mismatch. Short of a Rhino, Hippo or Elephant a Brown Bear cleans up, including big cats

A male Siberian Tiger has a slim chance, but very slim.

Gorillas are overrated as Hell compared to most animals though. Gorillas get killed, and eaten by Leopards.

I remember walking up some cliffs and into some fields on a hot day, soaked in sweat, and a horse with a schlong like an expensive leather sofa started to drink the sweat off the back of my head and hair. It was a weird experience.

Look, all this talk of Grizzlies is ridiculous. Policemen armed with guns aren't even able to stop themselves being raped by old horses, never mind being able to hurt a grizzly.

Listen, anyone crazy enough to think that anything they do other than firing a high powered rifle is going to stop a large brown bear (Grizzlies, Kodiaks) or a Polar Bear in its tracks or "hurt" it can find themselves pleasantly surprised to be dying

There's not a man on Earth that could handle a normal sized North American Black Bear in a one on one physical confrontation, never mind the most massive Bear Species like Kodiaks and Polar Bears or the medium-sized ones like Grizzlies

    You would absolutely die.

Animals are a lot stronger p4p than people, they also possess a far higher pain threshold.

A 200 pound leopard would rip the face off of the strongest man on Earth

I might be totally wrong but I think I'd kill just about any dog. At least up to the size of a German Sheppard.

You didn't even have to bring up a Leopard.

No human is even beating a Pitbull.

As for Leopard's not taking down male Gorillas. I'll take your word for it. But it's hard for me to imagine even a male Silverback being able to cope with the speed, and claws of a Leopard.

I know for damn sure that a Jag would slaughter a male Silverback though.

No way. The fighting breeds and mastiffs power, pain threshold, aggression and stamina is off the scale.

A 200 pound male dogue de bordeaux would destroy any human.

Orion actually made the challenge to Pitbull. Pitbull offered him 1k to come over and take on 'lil man' which was Pitbull's smaller dog. Orion agreed to it and then when forum members began adding more money to the pot, Orion backed out.

Silverbacks are 300-400 pounds, have unbelievable strength, one of the strongest biteforces on Earth, superior intelligence to a big cat and the ability to use their arms in a way that is different from virtually every other large animal on Earth. Leopards steer clear of any confrontations with Gorillas of that stature. Females are far smaller but still are very dangerous targets and the Leopard does not always come out victorious even then.

As for Jaguars, there is no way to determine any of that, since they do not live in Africa and would never be in the same ecosystem as a Gorilla.

I think if you put a Kodiak bear or a Polar Bear in either animal's habitat, well let's just say the Jaguar would have a lot less to eat and the Gorilla would have a regular predator on its hands.

Could you take on a Silverback if it went after your girlfriend, cdogg? I mean if it was a live or die situation? Could your adrenaline rush give you the strength to kill the Silverback?

 no, I would have my head ripped off in about 5 seconds

At least, I'd die with her, right? How romantic, they died together while being pulverized by a Gorilla

Interesting thing about Jaguars... though they are considerably smaller than Tigers and Lions, they are a bit sturdier than their cousins the Leopard and they have the number one bite force among the big cats, with PSI well exceeding 2,000 pounds. Also, they have a totally unique type of kill-bite. Where the other big cats bit the throats of their prey to suffocate them before eating, the Jaguar uses its wide jaw to bite down through the top of the skull of its prey in order to puncture its brain and inflict a lethal injury before feeding. Very strange. Only the Hyena has a stronger bite.

Kodiaks and Jags have different diets entirely. The Jag would still eat fine.

Jags are unbelievable strong, and their bite force is the most powerful of all big cats. Add in their claws, and speed, and I don't think the Silverback would have much of a chance.

Alright, so we've officially come to the conclusion that a flush punch to the stomach of a Grizzly Bear delivered by the world's most powerful punchers will not do much damage to the bear. What about a punch to the bear's face? Or should I say the Bear's snout? Isn't the snout a sensitive area? A left hook from Tua to a Bear's snout should do some damage should it not? There's no strength in a bear's snout to absorb such a killer blow.

But they only have different diets because they live in wildly different places. If the bears were to exist in South America, they would quickly take over the Jaguar's largest prey... Capybara, Anaconda (though this a "sometimes" target for Jaguars, usually they go for easier kills), Caymans, etc. ... Introducing an Apex predator that outweighs it by hundreds of pounds would decimate the Jaguar population.
