A "Gate Keeper" @ BEST....ALL he Brings to the Table is PRESSURE & DURABILITY (Most Times)...That's NOT Gonna B En ough to BEAT Elite Supermiddles...REED Would like to See Guys like Pavlik or Allan Green Go Thru Andrade B 4 Jumping in w/the Big Boys.... REED:hammert: ps. The WBO "Champ" is GARBAGE...
Green VIOLENTLY Stops Andrade...Go Ahead & LAUGH it Up, Cause REED'll B Laughing LAST.... REED:crafty:
I understand Andrade is a tough dude but other than that I never thought much of him. Bute's ko was pretty good but to me that doesn't make him #1 at 168 I think Ward is #1 at 168 because he beat the best in Kessler. Skill wise I also like Ward over anybody.
Green has power, and handspeed... but he's SOFT! If he couldnt bang Andrade out within 3 rounds, if Andrade is still in his face... Allan would fold up like a lawn chair.
Skill wise I think Bute would cause Ward big problems. And Kess is my boy, but he couldnt beat Bute giving a piss poor performance like he did vs Ward. Plus Mikkel doesnt really like it to the body, and Bute's left uppercut to the body is vicious, and Andrade isnt the first man to be KO'd by it. I'm not saying I'm gonna become a Bute groupie.... but I think he's damn good, and its a possibility he beats anyone at 168.
Andrade is no elite fighter, but he's at least proven his tougness. I mean anybody can get KO'd to the body. Plus Andrade isnt exactly a feather fist, and I dont believe in Green's chin. But what the hell, lets not talk about it. Lets hope HBO makes Green-Andrade, it'd be a good B.A.D. fight.
If Bute was in the tournament how do you think he would do? you think he would win the whole thing? I think he is good but havent' seen much of him aside from the Andrade fights.
He'd have as good a chance as any to win it. He's a difficult matchup for anyone at 168. I'd pick him over Froch, Dirrell, and Taylor with alot of confidence. Ward, Kessler, and AA would have a chance at beating him... but Bute could very well beat those 3.
What is it with you and limited face first fighters? I don't see anything special about Andrade at all.
U Just LACK the KEEN EYE for the SUBTLE SCIENCES that Guys like Andrade Employ...But It'S Definitely THERE...Squint your Eye's, Turn your Head to the Side & it's THERE!!!... REED:hammert:
Andrade tries to hurt his opponents fists with his hard ass noggin. There is a science to it REED! ::
DOUB would B the 1st to Tell U that Andrade DOESN'T Get Hit as Much as it Appears, to the UNeducated Eye...The Punchstats May SAY he Got hit 55% of the Time, but in Reality it was ONLY 54% of the Time... REED:hammert:
It's weird. BWJ is one of my favourite posters. Has been for years and he knows that, but all I see him doing these days is repeating what REED says and agreeing with him.
Bute finished in great style but Andrade was catching him through rd 2 and 3 and Bute didn't look too comfortable. Andrade may have zero defence but his steady pressure and heavy hands have caught up with a few decent boxers - you can't just put aside what happened in the first fight.
:: If JOE NAMATH agREED w/REED in his Next 1,000,000 Posts, that Still WOULDN'T Equal the Times he's disagREED w/REED's Sentiments Over the Years...U're OFFBASE on that 1, TAMster... REED:hammert:
Why CAN'T U???...He had about 2 Effective Rounds @ BEST in the 1st Fight & was DECISIVELY DISPOSED of in the RE... REED:hammert:
Mate, he stopped Bute. I don't care if he lost every second bar one of that first fight...like Chavez v Taylor I; he stopped his opponent. Knockouts matter, regardless of how they happen. It's the ultimate method of victory and the entire reason the sport is so exciting...you never know what the next punch will do. Nothing but a corrupt group of officials in Bute's adopted country could save him that night. Fight #2 won't erase fight #1...just like if they fight again and Andrade wins, Fight #3 doesn't erase #2. It's this whole Paul Williams v Carlos Quintana thing again too. Incredible rematch result and everyone seems to think "hey, thats what was supposed to happen in the first fight". Well guess what? Boxing is a sport that proves time and time again that talk is just that and its the actions that matter most. You can never change the past.
agREED. It's not as if the first fight was close. If it weren't for the last seconds of the final round nobody would have cared about a rematch at all. All Bute did was just stamp out any remaining doubt of who's the better fighter. Most people already believed he proved that in the first fight.
