maybe I need to talk like you and say you don't know shit about boxing and go back to watching MMA to be on your level
No matter how you twist it, you can't say I am not a boxing fan because I would want to watch Tito/Jones and YOU wouldn't. I will NOT EVER see how this fight will ruin a "stretch" of any sort :nono: Get off your high horse, you are a hypocrite.
I agree. I dont see nothing wrong with wanting to watch this fight. Sure they are not in there primes and they should retire but the public will be curious to see the outcome.
whether or not you watch Jones/Tito has nothing to do with you being a boxing fan, that was never my point. it was your questioning the "stretch" of great fights we've had and will have (the "will" part being on paper, anyway) before the year is over. You went way out of your way to suggest that there's no stretch to talk about, hence my TFK reference - as he'll shit on any given fight, yet will be eager to order (or at least watch) the Vargas-Mayorga PPV. I also didn't say this fight will RUIN this recent stretch of fights. I said the sport takes a giant step backwards by staging this fight. Why? Because if it's a success, then there are more to come, which means more money spent on dinosaurs and less on the truly best of the sport. As it is, HBO has already exhausted their budget for the year, and we're only midway through August. The sport was slowly beginning to move away from a flooded PPV market, and where quality fights can at least be seen on HBO and Showtime, and thanks to King this year also including MSG. Now, it's right back to the same old, with a fight like this. And even in your last post, you're still questioning this recent stretch - as you type it "stretch", as if to suggest there's nothing going on. Again, if that's how you feel, then you're missing out on quite a bit the sport has had, and will have, to offer in 2007.
I was one of the exclusive 25,000. :bears: For the record, here are the PPV's the rest of the year... Vargas-Mayorga - Donnybrooking it (on the fence), but leaning towards "yes" JMM-Juarez - No Pac-MAB II - Leaning toward "Yes" Mosley-Cotto - Hell yes!!!! Mayweather-Hatton - undecided. Depends on the strength of the undercard, but I'm leaning towards "no."
Mental note, never ask about a "stretch" with Jake, he will come back and tell you to go to MMA Another mental note: Jones/Tito will ruin said stretch. Until next time, see you guys in MMA....
One more mental note, just read what's written, and not interpret it as anything other than what it says.
oh...the ignorance. :: Jake, don't worry, he's just trying to bait you. We all understand what you were referring to.
I'm hoping it goes out the door. Boxing is enjoying a nice stretch right now. It doesn't need this fight. Everyone needs to stop watching boxing after these fights

I didn't once mention MMA in this thread (at least not until this post). But let's rewind. What was the hidden meaning behind "What stretch run?", since I'm obviously misinterpreting. I have my reasons for saying what I said, but for now am just requesting (not demanding) clarification on that statement. Thank you.
And you're not? Or do you honestly believe that I'd root for Roy - or anyone else - against Trinidad? ::
Jake's not stupid. He wouldn't openly root for Roy...not unless he wasn't interested in getting any for the next twelve years.
hahhahaha. I just didn't remember if his wife was Rican or Dominican. Jake, Roy would like to have a word with you ::
puerto rican. And you tell Roy I don't have the time to wait for him to show up, which will be 3 hours later than whatever he claims
What does Jake's wife have to do with this? :dunno: I was talking about Jake not getting any from YOU!
