    Tim Smith has slimmed in recent years, but his ego hasn't. He's on par with Rafael these days.

    I don't walk around blowing newspaper guys like some people do. In a rant, a publicist once told me that if he had it his way, he would never allow any access to any websites and that the only reason why he and other publicists can't do that is because promoters want the websites covering boxers. I found that interesting.

    But someone writing about boxing once in a blue moon doesn't deserve preferential(sp?) treatment in my book. The daily news shoves boxing in a tiny space after horse racing, yet they get a happy ending for every press conference they attend.

    I have no problem with them getting nice treatment. I understand how it works, but delivering free meals to them at ringside for fights that they obviously won't cover? Give me a break!
