So, you start topics in the MMA forum for "news" subjects as significnat as a "two-day training stint". I guess on that scale, there really has been nothing going on in boxing.
Wasnt my intention and YOU KNOW it. anyone with any credible 3rd grade reading comprehension can see that.
Starting a thread about another WWE wrestler that might join MMA is news. Especially when you see where the two last WWE wrestlers have ended up. You tell me what boxing news has been out there? The batista thing was a thread to let people know whats going on. But whats the big news in boxing. I know i posted news in this section. But thats all i saw.
I'm sure you were all over Kendall Gill's boxing career, too. To your credit, boxing's had nothing in the news as big as "Mike Tyson on Toney, Fedor & Lesner".
Whatever, Dude... U've FIRMLY Planted your "Flag" on the MMA Side of this Argument & That's Your Prerogative...But Did U REALLY Expect a Dana White "Boxing" Thread to Go Over WELL on the FB General Forum???.... When Boxers Voice Similar Complaints about MMA & Those Opinions R Posted on the MMA Forum, Guys like YOU & TFK Get All MENSTRUAL about it, Crying WORSE than U're Accusing the Boxing Guys of Doing Here...& YOU KNOW It... YOU Came here to ARGUE, Dude...I Mean, Shit, U're a So-Called "Boxing Fan" that DOESN'T Find David Haye the Least Bit Entertaining???....U LITERALLY Compared the Purses of Brock Lesnar & JM Marquez in an Attempt @ "Proving" Some Point???... Your Agenda COULDN'T B More Obvious... REED:boohoo:
Reed im suprised at you dude. I have never been a troll and you know it. I was never anal about the MMA section or even boxing opinion in there. I didnt come here to argue. I came here to discuss something. You always think there is an agenda. This is me. Im very easy to talk to and have had civil debates with you about MMA for the longest. This shit isnt even about MMA, its about boxing. Its about how boxing can improve here in the states. Im the only one listing credible ways the sport can be helped. Im debating wth myself. I have already clearly stated that i move further and further away from boxing due to how its run. But i also state that i watch as many fights as i can. David Haye isnt a barometer for anything bro. He has fought no one. And his fights arent impressive. When he fights one of the brothers, i will be there.
Forgive me if you say things like How is david Haye exciting? If he was exciting, i would have seen him fight. I read comments and reviews of the fights. Nothing has made me want to see him fight. Im sure i coudl have seen a haye fight if i wanted to. All this prior to seeing a Haye fight, then when you come back with the opinion that he isn't that exciting... sorry if i come back and call you completely full of shit. you put your thoughts on David Haye out there for everyone to see before you had seen him fight, and like i said, THAT is another thing that is wrong with boxing... phony fans there are no real boxing fans that i know of who are not interested in David Haye, he has had very exciting fights leading up to his move to heavyweight, where he has had one stinker and a knockout win over ruiz, ending ruiz' career - which is another thing most boxing fans care about considering what a cancer ruiz has been to the sport (imo). in terms of our argument in this thread - i gave my opinions on boxing's decline, then i commented that i don't believe dana white when he says he doesn't know who david haye is (altho i agreed with everything else he said in the video) and you ahve decided to focus on the most insignificant part of his entire statement and somehow try and convince me that white is telling the truth that he doesn't know who haye is, or that it is reasonable for a boxing fan to not know who he is just because you are still under the illusion that you are a boxing fan but you plainly have no interest in seeing an exciting heavyweight fight unless its to continue an internet debate. the childish act in this thread is you stubbornly defending white's every word as gospel and there is no possible way he could be lying about anything. you don't think he is feigning ignorance with regards to david haye to prove a point? its a good point, i just call his bluff - if he is a boxing fan then of course he knows who haye is.
Thats fine, im a phony fan because i have never saw a David Haye fight. You think the ruiz fight was exciting then i have to question your honesty. Nothing exciting about that fight. NOTHING. But its cool. Im not a boxing fan. Good to know. BTW, everything white said in that clip is accurate. So agreeing with every word isnt that hard to do.
I think Dana White was pretty much spot on with his comments on the video... altho i think he is full of shit not knowing who David Haye is. this was your response.
Haye's been mentioned by the HBO crew...he's also been on graphics that they've shown of the heavyweight division, as HBO often does when discussing weight divisions. I still think they should've had him on-screen when he was ringside at the Klitschko-Rahman fight...heck, wasn't it Lennox Lewis who said he'd just spoken with Haye. :: Easy way to drum up interest in a fight.
Oh That right you are the authority on boxing fans. I keep forgetting. Well we already established im a phony right? So now what?
When was the last heavyweight HBO telecast? Let me know, i will look it up and see if they mention Haye. Hell they just dropped the Klits. What other heavies do they have?
Yeah, what die-hard boxing fan didn't want to watch the Haye-Maccarinelli unification? Heck, an HBO/Showtime doubleheader with Peter-Maskaev and Campbell-Diaz....hard to see a boxing die-hard missing a night of those fights without a damn good excuse and then finding some way of getting a copy of it.
Yeah because these guys are very known by all boxing fans. You cant be a fan of the sport and not know who these people are Haye Valueve liakovich chagaev
Oh, so you know about that? Interesting, because I don't remember seeing you post in that thread. And do your own damn research.
Do my research about what? I know what i post and dont. are you back to using threads and posts a barometer. Like i said, you didnt make one thread in June. Hell how many threads have been made in GD today? 1:giggle:
MMA is just a couple of fatalities, a couple of instances of brain-damage, a couple of instances from corruption etc from going down the pan.
Seeing as how Liakhovich-Brewster was one of the best fights of 2006, yeah, it's kind of unreasonable to think a boxing fan might know who he is. And his title fight against Shannon Briggs that was on Showtime the same night as Mayweather-Baldomir ppv....a lot of boxing fans watched both fights that night. But I'm sure none of them knew who Liakhovich was, or know who he is. And a 7 foot boxer, yeah there's no interest in that...not even when he wins a title or fights on HBO, or against Evander Holyfield. Hell, even annoying main streamers like Michael Wilbon have commented on Valuev, and I think I even heard him say he bought one of his fights on ppv...not that I like PTI or condone watching that show.
You could be right, and we have no way of knowing yet since it hasn't happened. But I strongly disagree and think that is a way oversimplified viewpoint with regards to MMA (again this is just pertaining to the USA).
