And I agree. 60 is no spring chicken. If DDL is financially secure, which he probably is, and doesn't have the desire to act anymore, then all power to him wanting to live out the rest of his life doing other things.

 

I don't think he exactly lives the same lifestyle as Nic Cage, so he probably needs very little money to actually be financially secure. He probably lives with his wife in some 600 square foot cottage overlooking a cliffside view, in a little European town with one gas station and a tiny farmers market that sells his favorite strains of olives and prosciutto.

 

That actually sounds like a great place to retire to a quiet life which is probably what he likes.
