If Bernard can get Dawson to fall into the trap of some of the increasingly negative tactics he has employed in old age, he's still a very live dog

but you have to think a guy his age is bound to get taken out soon

    It's a shame

Many moons ago, Bernard was one of my favorite guys to watch... dirty? sure... but also a first rate technician with a bag of tricks

now, he slows the pace to a crawl, punches with conviction once or twice a round and intiates clinches... boring

Dawson remains criminally overrated, even after he lost to a guy who lost to the fighting farmer...

I HATE that racist old bastard, but I think he schools Dawson.

I'd say "listen, just throw a bunch of arm punches, you'll win it on workrate... oh, and complain to the ref every time he clinches you... tell him this guy double L and this other guy Kauki said it's illegal for him to do that so much"

    Easy Decision win

Dawson will start well, but well faze out of the fight, by about round 7 and then Hopkins will start to dominate the fight. Dawson also looks tired in the second half of most his fights, plus i think hopkins experince will be way too much for Dawson.

If anything i doubt it will be "clear".

Stinky decision no matter who wins.

Well, it'll be stinky sure, but it'll be as clear as Hopkins Vs Pascal put it that way, who is actually a better fighter than Mediocre Chad.

This fight won't do 200,000 buys. This will be a 12 round dud.

Hopkins doesn't have the speed that Pascal does. Dawson is going to chew Hopkins up. And I'm going to jump for joy.

So the point of this thread is the fight is no longer on PPV?

I deplore losing money at the bookies. Too much to ever risk proper money. Otherwise I'm not especially tight at all, beyond being poor.

I'd be shocked. Don't think there's even an outside chance that happens. Why do you say that?

This is a terrible style matchup for Bernard. He could very well lose a decision. But man, he looked SO much better than Dawson did last May in Montreal.
