I didn't bet on this fight Irish. Being good with my money at the mo...

Anyway, my feelings regarding Chad are pretty well documented. He's a decent champion in what has been a fairly transitional period for LHW's but people have him in their top three and four P4P lists, which I've never really understood at all.

Dawson looked like shit. He is definately waaaaay overrated from the Adamek fight. Since then he's just been beating up on old men. No waaay in hell did he belong in the top 5 pfp.

And LOL at the people saying he was about to stop Pascal from that uppercut. Lol why? Because it landed? He didn't even drop or wobble him. Pascal simply imposed his will on Dawson.

All I can say for sure is that this result definitely enhances Roy's legacy.

The uppercut did seriously stun Pascal. That doesn't mean Dawon would've stopped him necessarily. But Dawson hadn't thrown the upper the whole fight. And he found Pascal with it the first time he threw it. Plus, Pascal was definitely exhausted.

If and when there is a rematch, we'll see a dominant win for Dawson.

Pascal was obviously on queer street for a couple seconds from that uppercut. He literally stopped in his tracks and almost collapsed from the blow.

Great recovery though. Dawson would probably not have stopped him either way and was too gunshy to capitalize anyways.

Adamek both made and ruined Chad. It's Chad's best win, but also the fight that made him a safety first boxer.

I don't think that Dawson would have stopped Pascal because of the uppercut. I did think that Pascal was fading though at that point as he was gassed. However, I think that Dawson was in need of a KO at that point Nd I doubt he would have got it. Dude needs to learn how to go for the kill. Good win for Pascal.

He seem like a good kid, REED, but I need to see him in a real fight first, kind of like Omar Henry, same level.

I'm saying right now...Bute knocks out Pascal.

The way Pascal runs in, I see Pascal walking into an uppercut ala Edison Miranda. Pascal will get in his shots, but Bute eventually gets him.

There are few guys, maybe more, that can knock out Pascal that I can think of, you called it right as the kid is so open.

But, Pascal is a good kid, game and tough, Tavoris Cloud is as well, but neither scored a decisive knockout win in their showcase fights, and I never thought a whole lot of Chad.

It's gonna take a big hitter to come in and straighten them all out, guys like Chris Henry and Nathan Cleverly are fresh and major threats out there, so we should have some exciting fights coming up as we enter the final quarter of the year, but it will be 2011 when Henry KO's Shumenov for the WBA belt and straightens that mess out after Campillo, the winner has to fight him.

Cleverly is really good, keep an eye out on his progress.

Bute would fuck up Pascal. Chad would fuck him up in a rematch.

Pascal-Cloud would be an interesting fight. Pascal has the speed and movement to give Cloud alot of problems, but if he tires and begins to trade with Cloud late, Tavoris could turn his lights out.

Manny mentioning him in the same BREATH as Roy Jones was a joke.

About as big a joke as your post. Pascal just DID BEAT Dawson. Not in your little fantasy world, where he gets dominated by Dawson and Bute, but in the REAL world. Bute has never beaten a fighter as good as Pascal. Amazing how much credit Bitche gets for his wins over Andrade, Miranda and Bika, while the real fighters compete and beat each other in the Super Six. :kick:

I didn't see anything last night to make me think this fight was a fluke. Dawson was clueless. He's a guy that simply doesn't have the footwork to throw combinations at a moving target. He would move, plant to throw and Pascal was gone.

I think a rematch is more of the same and possibly a more confident Pascal stops Dawson. Maybe.

Because he is a man first and a boxer second, the opposite of Dawson.

And it's easier to beat Pascal being a man than a boxer.

I agree. Even Joe Calzaghe's slapping ass would fight back when he got hurt or knocked down. Chad was really bitch made last night. Did a good job of looking menacing during the staredown though, but he fights like he's scared. I hate that.

Saw an interview with Hatley on Youtube and I like his attitude. He's all fighter.

The game is missing that so much right now.

I dont really get the whole 'dawson fought like a bitch thing.' Whenever he was hurt he came back aggressively. He needed a knockout in the final 2 rounds and came out accordingly and was on the verge of getting it. He didnt deal with pascals tactics as well as he couldve or shouldve, didnt fight up to the potential of his talent but i dont see the bitchassness everyone else seems to have pinpointed

False. Everytime Chad let his hands go he nailed Pascal. I'm not saying that Pascal's speed and movement werent problematic for Chad, cause they were, but "clueless" is an overrstatement. Lets not pretend as if Pascal pitched some Jones-Toney whitewash. In a rematch, Pascal cant really perform ANY better. He fought the fight on his life, and in the end had to depend on a fluke headbutt to save his ass from getting stopped. Chad on the other hand CAN preform better in a rematch, and its hard for me to imagine him not doing it.

Credit to Pascal though. He's a good figher, and fought an excellent fight. But I still dont think the better fighter won.

    agREED 100%.

Note my commentary during the fight. I can't see how anyone could say Dawson didn't come back everytime he was hurt or Pascal got in a good shot. That's always been the reason I've liked the guy.

Yup. Chad has alot more heart than say Dirrell, even though Dirrell has more natural talent.

Does he beat on that midget in your sig when he get's bored and restless???:dunno:

Personally, Bute is too soft and flashy to take Pascal. Froch is the man for Pascal.

In fact, if Froch was a stand up guy, he would pull out of Super 6 if he loses to Abraham and demand a rematch with Pascal.

Then again if he wins Super 6, he could fight Pascal in one of the biggest money fights out there right now.
