I agree with everything you just posted Jarhead. I enjoyed the MM vs Dodson fight and for some reason I just can't like Pettis. Sure he's exciting, but I just don't like the guy.
I can't figure it out man. He seems to come off as a likable enough kid in interviews. exciting style. Just don't like him.
Dodson actually has a bit of boxing ability so it's understandable why some of the cage fags don't like him
Surprised you guys don't like Pettis. I'm king of the "Don't like him for some reason" club, but Pettis is great to watch, and seems likeable to me.
Are we not allowed to be boxing fans anymore? Pretty sure we all came here before the MMA forum even existed. I like Dodson though.
The fancy kick is the only reason Pettis won. The fight was dead even going into the last round. There will be no abuse.
Exactly. In fact, if that kick just lands and DOESN'T knock Henderson down, I think Ben wins the round and the fight. Of the two, I think Henderson has improved more. And he's also become a smarter fighter. He'll exploit Showtime's weak takedown defense this time around and win clearly.
I actually thought Pettis won pretty clearly. Outstruck Bendo most of the way through. Pettis stops him this time, as Bendo will be cockier, thinking he all that, because he got gifts over Edgar and beat up Nate Diaz.
I was as impressed as anyone by Pettis drilling Cerrone, but I can also remember him being controlled by Guida and looking average against Jeremy Stephens. But Dana indicated Pettis gets the next shot at the LW title after Hendo-Melendez so apparently Donald Cerrone has become the perpetual title eliminator opponent. I have this sneaky suspicion that Melendez beats them both. Everyone on here considers Melendez overrated. I guess we will see.
I'm in the Melendez overrated camp. Good, solid fighter, but I just don't see anything special about him. I'm confident Bendo beats him, and fairly confident Pettis does too.
