Wlad is a control freak. When he isn't getting things his own way he seems to freeze up. Joshua WOULD land, and he seems to hit much harder than Fury. I could definitely see him stopping Klitschko. Again, this is all dependent on whether AJ has a chin. I'm not ready to call him the heir apparent yet, but the strength of his whiskers are the only thing that stands in the way.

    Huh???...

Wlad was CLEARLY Taken Aback by the LENGTH and ATHLETICISM of Fury, Something Joshua and Wilder have in SPADES, by Comparison...If Wlad was UNNERVED & PASSIVE After the FEW Times Fury Touched Him Up, What is there to Suggest he WOULDN'T React Similarly to the More AGGRESSIVE Approaches of a Joshua or Wilder???...

Spinks-Shavers AREN'T Even Remotely Analogous, Whereas Joshua-Wilder-Fury CLEARLY Are...

Klitschko was so "Unnerved" he kept coming forward. On the balls of his feet all night.

I think people are so stuck in the "he's scared" mantra, they can't apply the new facts to the new "loss".

Wlad was scared. I disagree with REED in regards to it being the size of Fury that scared him, rather it was Fury's pre-fight antics and in ring feints and grins and shit that intimidated him. Wlad obviously doesn't believe in his own chin. Wlad may have been coming forward, but he was "bluffing"...because he was scared to throw power punches.

Wlad fought like a cowardly cunt.

    Sly...he always has.
That's why the only guy with any pop in the last 5 years, was as you said, Samuel Peter.
Every other guy he's fought has had average power and yet he still fights like a cautious, jittery twat.

I am not sure if it was that Wlad was scared or just that his body couldn't react anymore the way it has (on other words, he has just become old). Larry Holmes wasn't scared of Michael Spinks either, or Tyson against Douglas, they just seemed passive because they couldn't get their boxing going.

It is POSSIBLE that Wlad just was nervous against a bigger guy. I just think people tend to watch boxing as too much of a mental game, when in reality it is much more than that. I guess boxing LOOKS so easy that when a fighter can't land shots, it is easy to think that he just doesn't have the guts to do so.

And yes, Wlad remained passive all fight, but you have to remember that Fury didn't exactly open up either. Had it been more aggressive Wilder in there, perhaps he would have just walked over Wlad, or perhaps Wlad would have crumbled him wit a counter shot, something Fury never walked into.

It doesn't work as easy as: John Ruiz was reluctant to attack and wrestle Jones, thus he is not going to wrestle with any heavyweight who punches harder than Jones.

Nice assassination job on the character of a guy who has gotten off the mat to win before. "Show muscles"...............quite.

I think an attempt is being made here to purge the shortcomings of Roy Jones more than anything else.

Wlad and Roy both dominated weak divisions. Both lost at the tail end of their careers. Fatso reed gives one all the praise and the other all the hate. Why? It's not easy to figure out. The reasoning behind it is surely complex. It's not just black and white. Or is it? BOSS knows what's up.

I do get the feeling that Reed is trying to parlay this "loss" into something more than it is in fact.

Roy Jones went out on a limb in 2004 when he said that WK could not fight from the "downside".

Then Roy went to sleep vs Tarver.

I think Reed has been waiting ever since.

Dude, You Can Take ALL the Shots @ Roy You Wish...Is Attacking REED's Favorite Fighter Supposed to Make Wlad's "Performance" Yesterday the LEAST Bit Better???...Is it Supposed to Shed Wlad in a More FAVORABLE Light, Somehow???...

It WON'T Absolve How MEEKLY Wlad ALLOWED his Heavyweight Title to Slip Away, Homey...& DEFLECTING the Subject @ Hand to Roy Jones WON'T Make Last Night Go Away, No Matter How HARD You Try...1 Guy was a 1nce in a Lifetime Talent that Fans STILL Marvel @ On YouTube, to this Very Day...YOUR Guy is 1 that will QUICKLY Be Forgotten, Ruler of the Forgotten Era of Heavyweights...

But by ALL Means, if it LESSENS the Hurt You Feel, Fire Away @ Roy...Enjoy!!!...

Eh, no, you can stop that, I never once took a shot at Roy, merely I alluded to how what you are saying appears strongly to be an attempt to erase the stench of what happened to Roy who waded into Wlad for his own reasons and with no cause to do so.

Klitschko is being accused of "allowing his title to slip away" ...........and we are expected to believe he was more afraid last night of a guy who wouldn't come forward than he was against guys like Brewster or Peter who came forward incessantly.......back when WK was a more suspect fighter.

It doesn't tally, and it reeks of somebody trying to settle a score.

We have REMARKABLY gone from a state of affairs to "Wlad is afraid of guys who come after him" to "Wlad is afraid of guys who run away from him" to "Wlad is afraid of everyone, all the time, no matter where they are or what they are doing".

It's an attempt to shoehorn the facts to a narrative and it doesn't fit....it can't be both ways all at once.

Everything ISN'T as Linear as You Like to Portray it, Bro...So BECAUSE REED is Criticizing Wlad, it HAS to Be Because Tarver KO'ed Roy, Shortly After Roy DISSED Wlad???...THE FUCK Kind of Sense Does that Make???:scratcher:...Moreover, Just Because REED HASN'T Been Terribly Vocal about Wlad Previously (Positively OR Negatively), Does that ELIMINATE REED's Typewritten "Voice" when Speaking on a Fight he Watched Every Single Second Of???...

And the other guy showed no inclination to take it off him. I would say those are related concerns.

As soon as Fury was forced to stand and trade a bit I think he started coming off a decidedly second-best.

I must say I too was looking forward to what you had to say, but watching the fight, especially after the point came off, and after that 12th round, {which British TV scored for Fury} I was quite sure Wlad had it. Fury had made him look bad, but that's not how you win fights.

It's like Marvin Hagler said of Ray Leonard "That man never BEAT me".

I was quite happy by the 12th. It wasn;t like Ricky Hatton vs Collazo where I was thinking "Oh fuck....Hatton might have won this, but..........."

I used to think I had all this Klit hate, but now it's hit me that I just hate Wald.

Vitali was a quality fighter. He could take a punch, and wasn't scared to go to war.

Wald is a front-running, fragile bitch and there's no heavyweight great who he beats.

Its as if last night, which bears NO RESEMBLANCE to any of his previous wins or losses, undermines his wins and validates all his losses.

Remarkable, magical thinking. Its like something you would see on Jerry Springer.

1 - Why? Just cos they can punch hard?

2 - Fury won before the damn fight started

3 - Afraid because Fury's style completely and utterly nullified whatever game Wlad had

    4 - Disgraceful? Why?
He got out-psyched and out-boxed by someone with very similar attributes

Boxing: it isn't a 'Sweet Science' - that's just something old-timers like to fly around.
    It's just two guys fighting....and you're over-analyzing it, guy.
