There is that. Like Reed explained, him and his father have done a good job at playing the heel and I can see how some people would want to pay to see Haney lose. This is very similar to how many paid to see Floyd lose. Haney is not a big puncher by any means. His fights are not boring but not exciting either. But at the end of the day he's racking up those wins. Can't argue with that.

 

One of my favorite boxing channels mentioned something about that. And from reading the comments everyone seems to agree that Haney puts up this front like he's from the ghetto when in reality he grew up in a nice neighborhood. I agree with you I see that as a blessing that his parents were able to afford to give Haney a nice upbringing. In my opinion that's a positive thing. I just think that the people that hate Haney are people that are annoyed with his fake thug facade.
