Because boxing is more a business than a sport and Mayweather is a protected superstar. Is anything ever done about corrupt or blind judges? EVER? Name a single judge that has faced serious consequences from turning in outrageous or corrupt cards repeatedly? Judges know what is expected from them and so do refs. Refs are supposed to ref a certain way. They are supposed to turn a blind eye on the illegal tactics of the hometown/superstar fighter, whether he holds on for his life to avoid a KO, or whether he needs some point support by quick deductions for low-blows.

There are better and more blatant examples than Mayweather, but boxing is still boxing and people on the net don´t have anything to gain or lose from speaking their mind.

Give you an example from cycling. Every rider that has spoken the truth about his doping practices in cycling is unemployed, every rider that kept his mouth shut, denied everything and sat out his one year/two year ban is welcomed back like a hero with open arms by their peers, teams and fans. The people, who have come clean are out of their job. The people, who kept quiet earn millions again and win the big races. The same applies to boxing. Nobody wants to work with people with certain reputations.

Your long winded tirad about boxings ills is pointless. Yeah the sport has everything from bogus judging to officiating but the thing here is the boxers actually complain about it. Until either you, Kauki, or anyone can show some evidence where a fighter complained that Floyd is using an illegal defense than both of you are talking out of your ass and your statements are nothing but hate fueled rants that I refuse to address again.

How come you guys aren't saying that everytime a boxer ducks his head down with his face pointing towards the floor thereby exposing the back of his head that he isn't using an illegal defense then? Probably because it isn't Floyd Mayweather doing it.

What a stupid post. It not illegal in boxing to turn sideways and give your opponent less of a target or duck low as long as you get right back up and don't stay down there. Floyd doesn't turn his whole back and for that matter neither does any boxer I could think of...and your comparing these subtle defensive maneuvers to blatant cheating like doping in cycling? Your an idiot and message board nerd.

The core constitution, is the official boxing rules, it is, unpoliticised, and unchangeable,..

    * You cannot hit below the belt, hold, trip, kick, headbutt, wrestle, bite, spit on, or push your opponent.

    * You cannot hit with your head, shoulder, forearm, or elbow.

    * You cannot punch your opponent's back, or the back of his head or neck (rabbit punch), or on the kidneys (kidney punch). (reverse compatable)

    * You can't hold your opponent and hit him at the same time, or duck so low that your head is below your opponent's belt line.

Fraud violates those rules, of which there is video evidence to support the case against him,..To trivialise those clear and direct points, is to merely spawn a tactical screen of smoke to service your agenda, your obvious motive is to thrust this constitution into the hands of 'business interperaters' for the benefit of your favourite fighter's corrupt tactics,.. what a principle to behold in light of the global financial meltdown Bigdawg.

What do you mean 'where's your money'?? ... are you a stock broker?.. ..

"The Bush administration knows the correct interpretation of international law".... are you a politician?

"You dont know shit about boxing".... you've never laced them up?

If that's all it takes Lib four Lib, to toss out the constitutional boxing rules and allow the fighters to decide wether certain tactics are illegal or not,.. then it's a reflection that you do put the fighters above the sport and allow them to dictate whatever the fuck they want, from how they fight, to who they fight.. essentially you hold Fraud above the sport,.. but I guess to address your question,..how many times have other fighters complained about Hopkins dirty tactics?... yes they've complained, I guess now it magically becomes 'illegal'?,..if you want your 'just one fighter' to whinge about Fraud's illegal defensive tactics, you've got one, Hatton complained about Fraud turning his back and not being allowed to hit him, he also complained about having his eyebrow unzipped by one of Fraud's elbows... from memory I think Hatton was either warned or deducted a point for hitting Fraud's 'back region',..Fraud's 'defensive wizardry' should now magically become illegal in accordance with your OWN regulatory conditions, 'a fighter complained'.... fighters decide, what a pity Hopkins is putting up a stubborn fight against the 'fighters union' ...

If a fighter doesn't have a problem with Floyd turning his hips during a fight why should I? Nobody says that those same opponents can't hit Floyd when he's swaying from side to side. I'm not going to discuss any other issue but this one. I don't care about other fighters complaining about Hopkins using his head, that has nothing to do with this. Complain that Floyd is a ducker, an asshole, even a detriment to the sport but this illegal defense thing is bullshit.

Well if you make sense of the fundamental rules, and fundamental scoring criteria, it is to boxing's benefit, fairer for the fighters who conduct themselves honourably, and it is highly beneficial for the viewer in terms of fluent offensive action. If you cant see, or wont conceed how Fraud's defensive style frequently contradicts those standard rules above, well then it really doesn't matter anyway, boxing, like all US big business, is a corrupt, unrestricted, bureaucratic mess, ...so enjoy the status quo.

One thing though Lib four Lib,.. it works both ways,.. glorious, glorious rules,.. imagine if Wlad recieved his final warning for holding?... wouldn't that be a delicious treat?... Whats wrong with flushing out the rats?.. there would be times where it would suit just about anyone to enforce the rules.

    KauK,

What in the world are you talking bout. Stay on task son. Going by what you claim all fighters should fight squared up to their oppononets. When fighters are facing each other with their lead foot out front aren't they somewhat showing the back side of their backs? But like I stated earlier I may not have as much boxing knowledge as you or the other internet gurus however JMM and Nacho didn't complain about the alleged illegal tactic nor did DLH and Freddie Roach complain. These fighter/trainers are hall of famers. Perhaps you have more boxing knowledge and know the rules far better then all 4 of those guys cause none of them complained or mentioned anything about PBF's illegal tactics. As a matter of fact the one thing JMM and is camp brought up was the fact that PBF weighed 146. Hard to believe they would bring up weight and not and intentional illegal activity that PBF uses thus placing JMM at an even more disadvantage. Can you explain why this could be? Perhaps they aren't as smart as you and all the boxing know it alls on the net. I'll Holla 5000

I didn´t compare ducking to doping, but I guess that went a little over your head like the difference between your and you´re in first grade. I explained why fighters/trainers/corners keep their mouth shut, because it´s how the business works. One day you benefit from the system, next time you get screwed. You want to get paid, you play the game. Do you honestly think Marquez would have threatened the biggest payday of his career, because Floyd intentionally disregarded the contracted weight? NO.

So where is Marquez supposed to punch him? Is he offering any legal area, What would have happened if Marquez smacked him hard on the back of his head? Would he have been warned?

Someone else who sees the truth.

Look at their respective fights against Oscar and Hatton too.

Pacman, right now, is much faster than Mayweather.

Floyd has slowed a lot since 130. Pacman hasn't slowed at all.

People mistake Floyd's defensive prowess for speed.

His defense is excellent, his reactions top notch.

Hand and footspeed? Nothing exceptional as a welterweight. Pacman is significantly quicker of hand and foot.

El - fair point. Bending that far down is illegal.

Why doesn't he get warned for it?

The rules are simple clear instructions for all to read, you dont need to lace them up to recognise what's a low blow, what's a headbutt, what's an elbow,.. and you dont need to lace them up to know when a fighter is turning his back and ducking his head below his opponents belt level. I've never seen anybody fighting with the same 'squared stance' as Fraud does to conduct his illegal defensive manouver, it's virtually impossible to engage offensively if your stance is a turned back on your opponent, it's about the sequence of his defence, hiding the legal hit zones behind his spine, neck and brain-stem as El Terrible has clearly illustrated above.

On a slightly different note,... what team did you play for in the NFL?, and which position?, .. was it for the Rams?..

Floyd landed 97% of his punches against JMM. Pacq landed 5%.

With slower hands, that is amazing, don't you think? :kidcool:

Again if its such an illegal tactic why haven't other well known boxers and trainers complained? Please tell me why in the world would the boxing rules apply to 99% of all professional fighters ane only allow 1 fighter to continoulsy fight and break the rules in 40 professional fights. Why? Why have they said these rules will apply to everyone else buy PBF? Please provide some insight.

By they way I never played I was a bench warmer. I played the ass back position. One game I tried to run onto the field and the coach said get yo ass back! I'll Holla f@@@

Let's use sme Floyd fan logic here. First off the topic of this thread. Let's change it around a bit. "Mayweather took 10 rounds to stop Hatton, Pac-Man did it in two. Hatton never laid a glove on Pac. Does this mean Pac will beat Mayweather?

Mayweather struggled against Oscar, Pac destroyed him. Does Floyd have a chance against Pac?

We can also aaply Floyd fan logic to the Floyd vs Marquez fight. Marquez has already been defeated by Pac. He fought 24 hard rounds against Pac. Those rounds took a toll on JMM, he not the fighter he was when Pac faced him. He's older, slower and way above his best weight.

Barristan, I'm pretty sure ducking below the waist is illegal in all boxing rules.

Of course ducking is good, but Floyd takes it a step too far. Ducking below the waist is technically illegal.

Hamed used to get called on it by the refs, but for some reason Floyd doesn't.

It should be legal to punch him in his back if he turns so far that it's all you can hit. I wish someone would drop a hammer fist on his fucking spine.

yes, I love Floyd that much.

I'd tell my fight to throw at his shoulder...if it catches him...fine. I'd also have him throw toward the side...if he turns into the shot so be it.

That's what got James Toney a lacerated kidney.

Hit what's available. The mistake is solely aiming for the head. After a few rounds that lead shoulder gets VERY heavy.

Not to mention, Floyd's had shoulder issues in the past.

I agree, fighters should be on to this by now. You can't headhunt with Floyd. It just isn't going to work.

I'm surprised JMM landed as much as he did to the head, given his height.

JMM actually did a nice job of not telegraphing his right-hand. I think Castillo is the only other fighter I can think of who hit PBF as cleanly. It's just too bad JMM is a featherweight. Actually, based on PBF's laughing and his pointing to his chin, I'm surprised at how much JMM was able to hurt PBF.

Yeah, kaurkipp brought this up previously and that was my conclusion to. Would sort it out quick fast in a hurry. Another good alternative would be for Mayweather opponents to start training muay thai knees.

Yes it is an illegal tactic as outlined by the official rules of boxing, and why dont coaches fighters etc complain?.. we dont know if they dont, but what I do know is that the referee stresses no headbutts, no low blows, no dirty tactics in every dressing room,.. but when the fighters are out there under his watch, he does SWEET FA,.. .. how many people complain about Hopkins... he is a notoriously dirty fighter,.. so why cant the refs and fighters etc,.. ever get him to stop???.. ... you know what... INSTEAD...his 'cunning illegal tactics' are glorified,.. just like Fraud's illegal defense is glorified,.... Im not the only one on the forum who is frustrated that the rules aren't being enforced... but you see... this subject only appears to occur when it's fighters we dont like,.. like Wlad's holding for example.... anybody care to call his frequent tie ups, 'defensive brilliance' ?... The rules are not being consistantly enforced,... as it stands today,.. the only rule that applies in the ring is .. 'don't hit your opponent below the belt if he's hurt as a result of it' .... and that's about it.... oh you get your occasional rogue ref like Vick Drakulich who penalizes Fraud for his liberal elbow,.. but that certainly hasn't set a precedent for other referee's to rule by, has it...

Alright, a bench-warmer,... but what position were you intended to play, if they ever let you out on to the field?.. were you part of the defense?... which team?..

What fight were you watching? In the one I saw JMM hardly laid a glove on Floyd, unless you count him hitting Floyd's shoulder's and arms a few times. Juan was definitely not on the short list of guys who've hit PBF a lot, in fact I wouldn't be surprised if he's the guy who hit PBF the least in PBF's whole career.

But I shouldn't be surprised you came away seeing something during a fight that nobody else did. You seem to do that for nearly every fight that happens.

 ,.. it's not that easy though,... ..it would be easier if he just stayed with either the backtwist,... or the back and brainstem fold,... but he does the two in a quick sequence,.. so the back is in a vertical position for half a second,.. then in a horizontal position for the other half,.. then he either sprints away,..or jams his elbow into your throat. If I were Fraud's next smaller victim, as soon as he begins the vertical turn, I'd time a chopping hammerfist to the back of his neck, or "guillotine" punch.
