Actually I thought that Burton pre-Augutus was the one that landed the most of PBF. I mean he busted his ear drum and had his nose bleeding. I'll Holla 5000

To this day Floyd claims that Burton has been his hardest fight.

I have never seen that fight so I can't compare it to the first Castillo fight which to me has been the guy who landed the most on Floyd.

Fraud's a lieng piece of shit ofcourse, it's strange how people keep forgetting that,.. I've seen the Augustus fight, and Fraud won every round so ..lol,.. yeah he would say that,... he wants to pretend as does all Fraud groupies that his first meeting with Castillo never existed.

First off I have never pretended that the first Castillo fight happened. It did and PBF got the W on top of having an injured shoulder. However Double L made a statement about a JMM having landed the cleanest punches on him. And I brought up the simple fact that Augustus was the dude that busted PBF's ear drum and nose. As a matter of fact Floyd Sr. mentioned that if Jr was with him that he wouldn't be getting hit like that. And who are you to tell a fighter who he thinks is his toughest fight. Lemme guess you know more then what PBF knows when it comes to his own body and boxing career. Get the fuck outta here. I'll Holla 5000

Bigdawg, You've voluntarily leapt up and raised your hand as a Fraud groupie, as I wasn't pointing you out in particular but rather the collective notion of the groupies on this board, ... but it's pretty obvious who gave him the fright of his life, and personally.... I dont have to nor should anyone trust Fraud's word,... would you?... seriously?... are you oblivious to the fact that Fraud has the astonishing ability to contradict himself in the SAME sentence?.. He's an outrageous, flagrant, liar,... with non existent integrity, and once again,.. you dont have to be a rocket scientist to understand that.

Now please man, I'm new to Gridiron, I saw you in uniform once, you had it in your avatar, and it's a great game, were you part of the defence or the offense?, and for which team?... I dont know what position 'ass back' is as you explained earlier,..Im new to the game, I dont quite understand the football vernacular yet.

The Augustus fight is the only time Floyd has ever stood in the pocket and pretty much brawled. He wasn't running around and stuff, he just sat there and went toe to toe with Augustus and that's why he has the most connects against Floyd.

It was good for a Fraud fight,.. particularly the first 3 rounds, Fraud fought hard, didnt turn, didn't jam his elbow into Burton's face, didnt duck below Burton's belt level, and didn't push his head,... .. after round 4 though,...---------:boohoo: out popped the illegal implements as usual..

Fighters always say fights they won clearly were their hardest. Always. Or that guys who never put them down/out hit them the hardest.

Exactly. It's one of many reasons that reading interviews with boxers are typically so annoying. Hard to ever get any truth.

Retired boxers usually are a bit more forthcoming, but even they try to revise history or make excuses.

"Many people don't know this, but i was actually injured before" ... (insert fight they lost or struggled in)

"He didn't really hit that hard i've been hit a lot harder, i just didn't train properly"

The injury/illness thing goes both ways, though.

What are you going to do, broadcast that you've got a bum hand before the fight?

There's pressure on fighters not to miss dates...especially if they're playing second fiddle in the promotion.

    Exactly!
There are also the 'Mystery conditions/ extra-curricular circumstances" combo
-"At the time I knew there was something different-something wasn't quite right, but I didn't want to pull out of the fight and let everybody down..."

The alternative being, what, that every fighter is 100% healthy when they step into the ring...short notice, or not?

well honestly Id say Burton did more damage to mayweather jr than castillo did in the first bout. not to say he fought a better fight or won any rounds but he did get in cleaner shots than castillo and bust mayweather jr up some.

for the record mayweather jr said the only time he felt 100% healthy going into a fight was vs Justin Juuko.
