Diego Corrales: RIP

His career could've gotten a bit further if they didn't throw him into the ring with a light heavyweight last month. I thought he could do damage at 140 but apparently he couldn't make the weight.

Just a sad case on the whole.

 

OMG! I come home from a terrible night of working late, and hear this! I cant believe it! I'm utterly in shock. R.I.P. Chico, he was one of favorites, and always will be. God bless him and my heart goes out to his fam.

 

I'm thinking it's suicide. He was obviously done as a top fighter.

I feel you on that. I'm literally just sitting in front of my comp right now in disbelief.

 

Why? Everyone goes apeshit because Floyd Mayweather slapped a couple of girls around. Corrales was a violent felon who attacked a woman carrying his child. It doesn't get much sicker than that.

 

This has been a bad two days for me. I never knew him, but he was my favorite fighter. He was only going to fight for a few more years, at best, and was probably going into his opponent stage. It makes it even sadder. He was about to be retired and probably been an announcer for Showtime. This is just sad.

 

Damn that's some terrible news, RIP Diego.

 

I think Floyd has a horrible attitude and imho is a POS but if he had died, I would still feel bad and miss him.

 

He'll always be remembered as he won the greatest fight in boxing history.

 

Mayweather still has something to give to the sport, should he continue boxing. Corrales didn't.

 

If everyone were like Chico, Boxing would be far more popular. What makes it worse, he was going to retire soon and enjoy his post fight career.

 

Marvin Hagler and Archie Moore won better fights.

Bullshit! He would have said, "You are a wifebeater and you threw a pregnant woman down a flight of stairs. Enjoy your stay in Hell!

Corrales-Castillo I shits on Hagler-Hearns! Ive said it two million times and I'll say it one more. Hagler-Hearns = THE most overrated fight in boxing history!

Seriously, and he didn't make it his lifestyle. He married. He had kids. He tried to redeem himself in and out of The ring. Diego made a brutal and horrible mistake and has done all a person can to erase it.

 

R.I.P one of my all time favorites.

 

Earlier today a friend called me and told me. I went ahead and put the report on my site(below). I waited hours for a report from f@ghtnews or b@xrec for a formal confirmation. I was hoping I was wrong, I was hoping my source was full of sh1t. but no.

I don't know if many of you guys were around years ago when we lost James Shuler, but it is always sad when we lose one of ours. My heart felt sympathy goes out to his family, friends and fans.

I ask the others to at least show respect.
