Does Anderson Silva's immediate refusal to fight Jon Jones tell us anything?

Yeah after getting dominated and dropped early in the fight from GSP standing and after Serra landing a shot on GSP's temple. You two should get your stories straight.

After Serra he was being looked as a great wrestler, after Koscheck people were calling him the best in MMA. Nobody is re-writing history. He fought Koscheck right after Serra.

    Yeah, not quite.

I'm just curious how you think GSP won fights before the Serra rematch. The dude has always been a wrestler first despite the karate background.

Hell, even before the first Serra fight, GSP spent better than half his total MMA fights on the ground. And in better than 90% of that time on the ground GSP was in top position and initiated the take down.

The dude has made a living in MMA from the beginning by being a good wrestler.

The Serra fight made him safer and almost afraid to box with anyone that can bang. But the wrestling was always there and known by anyone that actually watched him Personally I didn't realize how good it was until he handled Koscheck (like most).

I give up. Some people just can't admit when they're wrong. But remember, when you think EVERYONE else is wrong, you might want to reconsider your stance.

So you admit he was known as the best wrestler in MMA going into the second Serra fight. We no longer disagree.

    Thanks for playing.. Duh!!!

Wow.... I still can't believe you just posted that. Now I seriously wonder how much you've actually watched.

First you say GSP wasn't considered the best wrestler in MMA until after Serra II and now you say it was after Kos...

Sorry..... but insert an insulting smiley here.

Dude... The Kos fight was right after the first Serra fight.

So you and I agree that GSP was considered a great wrestler BEFORE the second Serra fight.

I love it when people ask if I know something and then look stupid...

    Mostly whatnot.

I will openly admit that I love to debate, but this is just insane.

You are 100% correct. I have no clue why i was mixed up with the dates. I honestly dont know what i was smoking but always can admit when im wrong. That being said, i stand 100% by my argument that GSP didnt become a safety first fighter as a result of the Serra loss. It was something that accumulated over time and i still maintain that Going to the ground with Serra is more dangerous than Standing.

I told you at boxingfanatics TRP that you are great with dates. I never look up dates or anything. I dont think you do either, but your memory for dates has always been impressive to me, who forgets dates like nobodies business.

Bed time bro... Thanks for the discussion..

By the way, while I think GSP has become safer, oddly the percentage of time his spends on the ground has only increased a few percentage points since the Serra loss.

I will admit being wrong about that. Maybe it was the 5 round fight with Hardy spent entirely on the ground but it just seemed like he spends more time on the ground now. In reality, not so much. And the Shields fight probably lessened the gap even more.
