Do you honestly think he can afford those houses and cars without boxing? The way this guy goes through money is comical. He really is Tyson 2.0
The hilarious thing is PBF cares a lot about what people think - the guy fucking cried at a press conference following the Baldomir fight because he didn't get enough love.
Yeah he does care what people think about him right now, but he's so scared of losing to Pacquiao, theres nothing he can really do about it...and the Baldomir fight was shit and had no business being on ppv, that's why he didn't get no luv
Of Course U Give a Fuck...Why Else would YOU B in EVERY SINGLE Mayweather-Pac Thread, SUPPORTING him???...Again, SPARE REED your ATTEMPTS @ Being "Cool", Neil...Your DAILY Fightbeat Posting History SHITS on it... You DO Give a Fuck... REED:shit:
Neil's so full of crap it's not even funny. He comes down my throat as not being a boxing fan because I was hating on Mayweather for not taking the Pac fight. What kind of boxing fan is Neil? He doesn't want this fight to happen, period. Anybody who watches boxing wants this fight. Floyd's fans want this fight. They say Pac is a light touch. If so, then go in there, slap him around and make that easy 50 million or whatever if it's that easy. Why continue stalling? Neil is deeply afraid of this fight happening and seeing how quickly he comes to Floyd's defense, it's obvious why.
I'm pissed at Floyd if indeed this is his fault 9I haven't been following the drama to be honest). Fights like this come around once a generation....it's very wrong for thsi fight not to happen.
It occurred during the Hearns fight at 147, I believe. Ray was told by his doctors that he risked blindness if he fought again, so he retired.
If you knew anythig about Floyd you'd know he sold all his cars and his houses are already paid for. Floyd essentially has no major debt right now, and i doubt his financial advisors will allow him to make another big slip-up.
Thats basically it right there. He just doesn't want to face Pacquiao in the ring. This whole drug testing thing was a mere ploy to get out of facing Pacquiao. The funny thing that has been mentioned here is that Floyd seems to want to be PERCEIVED as the best. But he doesn't want to fight the best. It doesn't make any sense. He has this bizzare mentality of "I'm Floyd Mayweather, the face of boxing, the king," and yet he doesn't want to defend his throne against a guy that has a chance of taking it away. What kind of a fighter turns down not only his biggest challenge but his most LUCRATIVE(Talking money here) challenge???.... Its the fight the sport needs and the fans all over the world want.. There's only one explanation and I never thought I would say this. And I don't care if I take heat from anyone here. Actions speak louder than words. And PBF's actions are that of a scared man, plain and simple. Pacquiao has agreed to every single request of his, including the drug testing. Many don't want to face up to it. But its crystal clear now. Mayweather is just scared. Scared to fight Pacquiao. Its that simple.
Yes I'm a fan. Always have and always will be. Let me clarify myself. I'm a fan of his boxing skills and his accomplishments. Yeah I want him to fight Mannybut it still won't stop me from being a fan. I'm not the type of cat that will jump from a fighters bandwagon just because. And no I don't think PBF is scared of Manny! I'll Holla 5000
He IS scared. And yeah, you jump off the bandwagon when scared fighters are trying to preserve their records and taking minimal risk. Floyd is ducking hence he's scared hence he's not one who deserves fan support.
You are conflating the current issue of Floyd Mayweather apparently taking another hiatus from boxing and the drug testing issue. They are not the same. Nothing I ever suspected about Manny Pacquiao being a drug cheat has changed one iota just because Floyd Mayweather is behaving like a deranged juvenile. In fact, if Mike Tyson, Roy Jones, and SR Leonard all began behaving erratically, too, would that warrant that I reconsider Pac's PED use as well? What the hell does one have to do with the other? I don't think anyone here ever argued that Manny was using PEDs because Floyd said so. That wasn't ever part of my argument. In fact, unless I am mistaken Floyd Jr. never said so. He just kept asking for the testing. So whatever Floyd does really does not touch what I believe in any way regarding Manny and the first negotiation. I don't see how anyone could even reason that it could? The only part Floyd played in this was to use his unique leverage to expose it. That's it. Even if he goes away forever, it has no bearing on what happened. That's in the books already. I have concluded two basic things from all this. Number 1 - Floyd was willing to sign to fight Manny last year if Manny would have agreed to the proposed testing. As I have stated before, the negotiation was intense and both sides had so much invested in it that they were personally slandering each other in the press. That was a go if Pac dries up for that fight. Number 2 - Floyd is, and always has been a petty, spoiled, egocentric asshole. He is clearly fearful of losing, and Pac represents perhaps the strongest chance of that happening. At this point, that is IMO definitely a part of why Floyd is "disinterested" in boxing. Shane hurt him badly for the first time in his career, he has seen what Manny can do now over and over (even to fighters that SSM couldn't crack like ODH), and he just figures it's safer to either retire again or wait this out until a safer fight is available and practical. Again, what bearing this has on Pac's apparent drug use, and his personal dismantling of the first attempt to make the fight is escaping me. If Mike and Bob are arguing and Mike is right and Bob is wrong.... how is that ever affected in any way just because Mike turns out to be wrong in the next argument, or the next 5, or the next 100? Mike was still right in that initial argument. Nothing done subsequently changes that, and no matter how good it makes you feel to come and rant about this, nothing Floyd ever does is going to change the fact that Manny balked on his chance to make the fight the first time around because something about the testing scared him enough to actually kill the fight. If you are going to come in here and argue (speculatively, you would say, and with no concrete evidence) that Floyd won't sign this time around because he is scared of Manny (or whatever reason you gin up), then please accept that Manny wouldn't sign the first time around because he was scared he'd get caught on the drug test. I don't see how there is any difference in the two from an "integrity" or "speculative" standpoint, except I would argue that there is probably more circumstantial evidence of Manny's drug use than of Floyd being scared. You don't know with any "evidence" why Floyd won't sign to fight Pac now; you are guilty of exactly the same thing you so righteously chastise others for.
For all his bravado Floyd is one insecure dude. He has passed up so many fights against guys I would favor him to him... it's frustrating and annoying. A wasted talent.
I'm sure that boosts his confidence knowing that some dude named TKO on a random boxing forum favors him to win against dangerous opponents. He doesn't think he can win which is why those fights don't get made. It ain't rocket science. Tyson was afraid of fighting Lewis for years even though his fans felt he'd beat Lewis. Tyson knew better obviously. Just like Floyd seems to know better.
what is the point of you guys saying things like this? none of any of the fucking boxers or promoters or trainers care what people on a boxing forum say ever. so if it is so fucking pointless to ever post your opinion on this forum why are you fucking people here?
You have to look at the context of the post. TKO says he's surprised that Floyd isn't signing the contract because TKO believes the fight would be a piece of cake for Floyd. My response to TKO is that it doesn't matter if TKO himself thinks it would be a piece of cake for Floyd, what matters is that Floyd himself doesn't seem to believe it would be a piece of cake. If this was a guaranteed win for Floyd, this contract would've been signed the day it was negotiated pretty much. My point is, these Floyd groupies believe this is such an easy win for Floyd. If that's the case, then why is Floyd invisible? Why is he not interested in even addressing the Pacquiao fight? Why is he not hungry to eat Pacman up and take that $40 million? It's obvious! Floyd isn't as confident in himself as his fanatics are. After all, he's the one who has to step in there. Not his fans. It's why his fans are saying such stupid sh*t all the time, acting like this is an easy fight for Floyd. If it was, then this fight would be signed like last year! Floyd's spinning all sorts of sh*t and his idiot fans are lapping it up. Look at REED for example. REED sided with Floyd when Floyd demanded Pac take Olympic style drug testing. We thought Pacman was a bitch. Pac now says "I'll take your tests, let's fight!" and now Floyd has hidden in a hole. REED being the bigger man now smells bullsh*t with Floyd and realizes Floyd wasn't serious about the fight in the first place and was just stalling and trying to get Pac off his ass! The facts are, Floyd is scared and his fans are happy that this fight won't take place like Neil for example. They are perfectly content that Floyd doesn't risk his ass in there with Pac. It's why they're posting such stupid ignorant sh*t now like "Hey, let's move on, it's not the end of boxing if this fight doesn't happen!" All the while, this is the f*cking fight that transcends boxing. Even fans who don't watch boxing are ready to order this fight. Yet Floyd dicksuckers like Neil are saying "Who cares!" True boxing fans on this board I can see. F*cking jokes! :: Just a bunch of Floyd groupies who are sh*tting themselves privately at the thought of their hero Floyd facing Pacman. One of the very few times Floyd is being forced into facing a powerhouse in his prime and Floyd bails! He never had any intention of cleaning up boxing. It was all a ploy from day one.
HBO: There WERE negotiations Top Rank claimed there were negotiations for a Pacquiao-Mayweather fight. Team Mayweather claimed there never were any negotiations. HBO has now announced that there were indeed negotiations that were personally conducted by Ross Greenburg, head of HBO Sports. “I had been negotiating with a representative from each side since May 2nd, carefully trying to put the fight together,†revealed Greenburg in a statement. “Hopefully, someday this fight will happen. Sports fans deserve it.†The hole keeps geting deeper and deeper :doh:
I'm of the opinion that he was backed into a corner to take that fight & that SSM is very much an "old" fighter, wayyy past his best. However, PBF was on his way to making me a believer with his performance in that fight. He backed SSM up, gave him his most decisive loss, & showed the HEART of a true champion in the ring. I also liked his comments after the fight when he talked about the fact that being caught was nothing to be proud of & he'd have to look at those tapes very closely. I was ready to be converted (as I was when PBF-Manny was looking like a reality the first time around). I just wanted him to follow up the SSM fight by seeking out the most challenging fights. My opinion of him now is as low as ever. I would like him to prove me wrong. We'll see. P.S-I KNOW he doesn't care what I think...
difference being mike fought every guy there was to fight in his whole career, even when it was obvious to him he was shot, and he will be remembered fondly for that. that's the difference between a real fighter and a cocksucker like floyd.
Hanzy wipe the shit from your mouth.... I never said it would be a piece of cake - I said I would favour Floyd against the likes of Cotto, Margarito, Mosley, Berto etc... Love or hate the guy he is a special talent. BTW, Im hardly a Floyd groupie if anything I've been accused of hating on the guy. For the records I think Manny beats Floyd.
Nah, I don't believe in that lb 4 lb sh*t. If Mayweather was twice the fighter Tyson was, it means Mayweather could take Tyson in a fight. I don't think the pencil necked pussy has a prayer. Tyson wins with a jab.
I know you don't really believe that, Neil.:Giggle: I'd squish him easily. Oh and by the way, you didn't address my other past a couple days back. You were saying I wasn't a boxing fan at all and had no favourite boxers. So if the entire world is clamoring for Floyd/Pacman including myself and everybody on here, how come you're the only guy who has no interest in the fight? Who's the real non-fan here? LOL! You're only interested for 'betting purposes'. I guess that's the only reason you follow the sport.
I said Id like to see the fight. If it doesnt happen the world wont end. Boxing will still be alive. There are plenty of fights i look forward to seeing. I shall be in las vegas this weekend to watch boxing live. Mayweather jr. vs Pacquiao will make a lot of people a lot of money and the world will be watching boxing for one night. that being said, I dont believe it will revive the sport in any way, shape or form.
