I also think the move to 147 on short notice hurt. Hatton was supposed to fight Lazcano @ 140 but HBO turned it down and he had less time to adjust to the weight.
You are wrong here. Collazo brought a different style to the table, one that Hatton couldn't handle and that was a "slick" style. That's why he looked like shit. He is LIMITED and would ALWAYS have looked like shit against Collazo. Back when Mitchell was fighting on his undercard wanting to fight him in Manchester, he would have gotten beaten by him too. Its the style he can't handle.
Well, when Hatton starts the rough stuff, I hope Juan heeds my advice that I gave him and Hatton should knock it off. I told him to turn Hatton with his right glove on Hatton's left shoulder and put the referee behind him and Ricky and then hit Hatton under the cup..hard. If Hatton keeps it up with the holding and hitting and head butting, do it again, this time only harder. He will lose a point but so what? Juan isn't winning a decision there anyway, and this will take the steam out of Hatton Big Time. Let's see if he cracks Hatton in the juevos with that manuever I demonstrated for him once Ricky starts the dirty stuff, and you all will know where it came from once Hatton is squirming on the canvas.
what is funny about the hatton cock huggers is that while I admit Hatton is more suited for 140.. SO IS FLOYD!! Floyd is a small guy! I think Hatton is still very much in his prime, just that floyd is an all time great, no shame in getting whupped by him. Hatton IMO still beats ALL at 140 and will win this weekend as well
hitting hatton in the balls is not a good idea. hatton will retaliate with a much harder low blow of his own like he did to tszyu after being floored w/ a body shot.
Juan is not going to win a decision, joony. If he decks Hatton four times he won't win a decision, if he wins 10 rounds he won't win a decision. Hatton is a bully, a bully in his own backyard. You have to stand up to a bully, and give it back to him, only harder. It is a good idea, to be employed right when Hatton starts the rough stuff.
I agree 100% Juan has gotta make hatton his hoe.. forget about letting him hug and hump and headbutt if he does that stuff.. Hit him in the balls!
considering lazcano has nothing to lose, yea it is a good idea to bully the bully in his backyard. but going back to the tszyu fight, if i remember correctly, tszyu nailed hatton w/ a perfect body shot that floored him only to be ruled as a low blow, which then hatton came back and hit him w/ one of the hardest and most deliberate low blows i've seen. my point is, hatton is a dirty fighter and will get away w/ whatever he does, especially in his hometown. not sure if that will be the case for lazcano. if he lands more than 2 low blows, he would have to worry about getting DQed.
Hatton is not in his prime LOK, this is obvious to those that have followed his whole career. Floyd is an all time great yes, and there is no shame in getting whupped by him yes, but that's irrelevant. Floyd is more suited to 147 than hatton. Floyd has always relied on speed and skills, which work well against bigger men. Hatton has a swarming, bullrushing, manhandling style - which doesn't work so well on bigger men.
first of all I'm not a fat guy you flaming fagot second I see you mention my name on alot of threads. So it's the other way around. your the gayest troll I've seen around here. fucking maricon ::
Unless Hatton is fucking shot after that KO from Floyd he should handle Lazcano pretty easy. Sure Lazcano is game and comes to fight. But Hatton is faster and and busier. Probably about the same in strenght Either way Lazcano will have to ko Hatton to get a win. It's not happpening.
I agree with you on the style points,to bully and hump is harder vs bigger guys.. but Hatton is still in his prime.. I think he'd be better suited to stay in shape year round but it seems to have been fine for him throughout so who knows? I bet Hatton wins and looks good doing so
I still say he'd whup your boy.. I said it before and now still say it after your love boy was stretched by bradly
The same in strength? I think Hatton has the considerable edge in that department. I wouldn't consider Lazcano all that strong, physically.
The Hatton groupies never bring up this. Vann let Hatton get away with so much cheating in the Zoo fight.
This is the Point REED Tries to Make to Hatton Fans, when they Say "Hatton Had No Business @ 147"...Floyd ISN'T Anymore of a "True" Welter than Hatton is... So when Hatton Fans Suggest the Fight Would've Been "More Competitive" @ 140, it DOESN'T Wash w/REED... REED:nono:
I think that if you take a guy and put him in with a fighter that isn't that good, his handspeed, footspeed, stamina, workrate, overall energy and sharpness are going to look better than when he's in there against a great fighter.
How many times, Mister Reed? The fact that PBF is a small 147lb-er is irrelevant. His skill set is vastly more suited to moving through the weights than Hatton. Floyd relies on reflexes, speed and angles to be what he is. An outstanding fighter. Hatton, on the other hand, relies on strength, stamina and body weight. When he fights bigger guys, all of these advantages are negated. This does not detract from PBF's win against Floyd. I was the one who started the 'crow thread', so impressed was I with the way he handled Hatton. Floyd was superb that night. But Hatton would have been more competitive at 140. He would have still lost, and more than likely quite handily, but he wouldn't have been dominated for ten rounds prior to being KO-ed. Not IMHO. MTF
The Tsyzu 'low blow' was definitely a body shot. No doubt about it. The rest was not cheating. It's all part of the game, I'm afraid...
