Remember, styles make fights...and Kelley Pavlik would most assuredly get KO'd by Trinidad.

Remember,...nobody slugs with Tito and wins, nobody. Not even the bigger stronger and faster Hopkins and Jones.

Exactly...if indeed he is still "in it to win it."

He certainly could make 160 interesting - 168 less so but still has a shot.

    Maybe it's money issues. :dunno:

    Peace.

It totally depends on Pavliks chin.

Tito still hits like a brick and has good, accurate handspeed. AND, his achilles heel is against guys who have good movement and good jabs.

Pavlik has a verry good jab,...but he will be hit.

Couple that with the fact that Tito's chin and recuperative powers are excelllent.

I think Pavlik is tailor made to get butchered by even an old, past his prime and past his best weight Felix Trinidad.

Tito would get the living shit beaten out of him, it wouldn't even be competitive.

Pavlik is bigger, stronger, more skilled, more powerful, and in his prime.

His jab would do a number on Tito just like wright did as tito sat ring center, befuddled and confused, unable to do anything, and lost all 12 rounds.

The difference is pavlik is bigger, stronger, more aggressive, and much more powerful than Wright.

He would stop Tito without a doubt.

I've been banned from Eastside for propergating interbreeding!....The skinny of our issue is that you've been bucking like a wild horse ever since I wanted OC re-instated, and I listed the details as to why, people would think that to me, Dympeople would be like some sort of parasite, but he isn't, if he were banned I'd rally for his return aswell, my messageboard philosophy is "survival of the fittest" afterall, your the one who has his cofee the way he does Bigdawg, and has evidently had it that way for quite some time [IMG] .

    Why not?

Pavlik's jab is long, hard and accurate. As long as the Pavlik was consistent with it, Tito would have no answers.

I know you like tito donny, but surely you don't believe he'd have a chance against the Pavlik?

What happens when Pavlik backs Tito up like he has done to everyone? He isn't going to stand there in front of Tito, he's coming at Tito throwing bombs.

You're crazy if you think the Tito of today beats Pavlik or any top fighter from 160-168 right now.

Guys R UNDERestimating what Tito Has Left OFFENSIVELY...vs. Pavlik or Taylor, Tito WILL NOT Look as INEPT as he Did vs Winky Wright:nono: ...They're BOTH Much Easier to Hit than Wink Is...

& Even if he's "SHOT", Tito can Still PUNCH & Delivers his Blows Fairly SWIFTLY...He Could Definitely BEAT Kelly Pavlik to the Punch or Catch Taylor w/Something...

REED Wouldn't COMPLETELY Rule-Out Trinidad's Chances of BEATING Pavlik OR Taylor...

No, you are OVERestimating what Tito has left based on the way a shot as fuck Roy toyed with him. You know this is true too REED.

Roy straight up toyed with Tito.

Sorry...I pulled a Tam there.

    LOL @ "the Pavlik."

Actually I like both of these guys....alot. But I'm very realistic about where Tito is at today if you follow the thread.

What I meant is that Pavlik's jab wouldn't "dominate Tito like Winky's did".

Pavlik isn't NEARLY as active with his as Wright's is...nor is his defense nearly as hermetically sealed as Winky's.

Pavlik would actually welcome the opportunity to not use it and go toe-to-toe or get inside.

I also firmly think that Trinidad was disengaged that night vs Winky...very personal opinion. And no, I'm not saying "he would have won if he was in prime."

    Peace.

Roy toyed with him, but he's (at least) two divisions above where Trinidad should be fighting, yet still faster than Trinidad.

The other thing is Trinidad never gained any muscle when he moved up in weight. All he did was get softer.

But if Trinidad fought at 168 or 160, or a catch-weight in between, I don't doubt that Trinidad can still be effective in spots. He still has his left hook, if nothing else, and Pavlik and Taylor are both there to be hit. But at the end of the day, I don't see Trinidad being able to put either away...he may hurt them, but I don't see him finishing them.

Tito/Roy was TWO pounds over 168. Tito hasn't won a fight since 2004. You guys are insane.

Maybe I'm the only one here who has seen all of the fights between Taylor, Wright, Tito and Hopkins.

Tito was an awesome welterweight, and one of the best 154lb fighters ever. At 160+, in 2008, he's a non-factor.

Someone actually suggested Tito could beat Pavlik.

Why are we talking about Tito/Pavlik. Pavlik is scheduled to fight a cat at 160 and Tito is in negotiations with Taylor. So let's stick to the Taylor/Tito fight. Now those who claim that Taylor will ko Tito. I just ask that watch Taylor Ouma who was a much smaller fighter than him and lasted the difference and Spinks who was ko'd by Judah. Personally right now Tito has better offensive skills then both of those guys and his chin is better then both of them even at this stage of his career. Not to mention the power factor that Tito owns over both of them dudes as well. Now it is true Taylor will be faster then Tito but I don't think that he will hit harder then Tito and even though he looks to be in subperb shape he tires down the stretch for whatever reason. Like I posted earlier I'm putting my money on Tito and he better hope he doesn't get caught with that Hook cause if he does it's 3 "L's" and 2 coming by way of stoppage. I'll Holla 5000

If Taylor sticks and moves,..establishes the jab as his mainstay weapon, and doesn't tire then I say he outboxes the shit outta Felix.

    That is a big IF.

I will tell you, all joking aside..

Pavlik would lay Tito the F out right now. You gotta be kidding if you think they'd just trade and Tito would stop him. As you said.. Tito was welter, he can crack still at higher weight I think but NOTHING like when he was at 47 and Pavlik would just overwhelm him and KO him at this point

Taylor will beat Tito the same way Roy did. He will just be faster than him and will slap him around. He might even score a knockdown or two. Not so much because of his power but just moving around and catching him alot over 12 rounds.

    Easy UD for Taylor!
