    The Ring have had him in that territory for a while. Just looked and they have him at 5 (http://ringtv.craveonline.com/ratings) ... thought he was even higher than that at one time, but I don't follow those lists closely.

    I thought the Ring had him there a little prematurely, based on the accomplishment side of things, but not necessarily ability.

    He beat Pavlik. That is his accomplishment? Donaire DESTROYED Darch & Montiel and made it look easy.

    Skill? Have you seen martinez fight? His skills arent better that Nonito. Nonito's defense is much better and he doesnt stand there with his hands down, and at times trade wildley againt his opponents. He is a much smarter fighter than Martinez.

    If by saying he is better than Martinez is overrating him, IMO you are overrating Martinez.

    I agree. Mayweather shouldnt be in this dicussion until he wins his next fight. He is retired as far as im concerned.

    I dont consider a title defense against a challenger to be something brought up when talking about accomplishments between two boxers. But if thats the case, fine. Nonito is Waaay more accomplished than martinez then.

    Give it to him. It doesn't matter how you place it. Nonito is more accomplished based on anything you say. He has more title defenses than Martinez and knocked out an opponent more accomplished than Williams. And actual champion. And he did it in a more impressive fashion.

    I agree with you. I think Donaire has better wins against better fighters, and he's looked more impressive.

    Still, if you're going to say something that isn't true about Martinez, chances are someone around here is going to pick up on it.

    That's right. That was my opinion. Stating his ko over Williams is an accomplishment is yours. Nothing untrue about it. And even then I gave it to both of you and agreed we can call it one. But I didn't fix a wrong, I just changed my opinion.
