Not casuals, but highly annoying and extremely dumb are those pseudo-experts who always pick the surprise result.

I know a coach who was semi-succesful (had a couple of top-10 fighters) who was like a poor man's Atlas, with same ego and same pseudo-psychology who was like this.

He was appraised for his insight because he picked Hopkins over Tarver. Yet, the same guy picked Baldomir to TKO9 Mayweather because "he is the master of timing"

Just came across somebody on Facebook who said that Larry Holmes would have beaten both a young Ali and prime Frazier.

Thats a controversial take, but it's not sooooooo outlandish that it belongs here. I wouldn't have a problem with someone saying they'd pick Holmes over prime Frazier. I don't agree with it, but I think it's an opinion that you could respect. In fact, Holmes-Frazier is one of the most debated matchups on SERIOUS forums. Opinions have always been split on that one.

Holmes over prime Ali is a bit more controversial, but it's not total madness talk.

Holmes was a bad MF. I don't think it's crazy if you believe he beats any heavyweight.

It's not my personal opinion though. I think he loses to both the 66 Ali and the 71 Frazier.

Once saw a guy on Facebook rank Oscar as the third greatest fighter of all time. He had Floyd and Ali 1 and 2.

Back in the day, I had a friend tell me that "Lennox Razor Ruddock" would beat Tyson.

I don’t think that’s outrageous. I wouldn’t pick Larry, but’s one of the greats and a live underdog against the very few fighters he’s not favored against.

Circa 2010 you had a slew of posters on lower IQ forums saying that Khan would beat a prime Chavez. This was after Khan beat Paulie.

Stephen A Smith, while interviewing crawford and spence, mentioned this being up there with the great welter fights of the past. Leonard - hearns, hearns - duran, pryor - arguello

Max used put that insufferable ass clown in place when it comes to boxing, but of course, Stephanie A cried to ESPN and had Max removed.

I definitely remember you saying something to the effect of Castillo having a shot against Hearns.

I for sure remember when you said Castillo would have beaten Whitaker and Pryor.

You would be false. I never said Berlanga would beat Canelo at the moment - I said he looked on a trajectory to do so in the future. I was wrong about him. I was the first one to admit I was wrong about him.

I just remembered this one: Cdogg once said that Marlon Starling was every bit as good as Mike McCallum.

Starling to me is the type of fighter that would lose to guys he’s more talented than due to his lack of urgency. There were times the fucker would just not throw any punches.

Good fighter, but nahhhh not in McCallum’s league.

Does Shakur count as a casual for saying that Tyson Fury would beat Ali?

Right at the start of the video

I don't think it's that outlandish of a claim. He at least would pose several problems to ali

We have no idea how he'd handle Ali. He's only beaten bum Wilder and a Wald who was well past his expiration date.

I think what makes it intriguing is the size and athleticism of Tyson Fury. I have no question Ali is the favorite but I would be willing to bet all of us would tune if it was on ppv. At the very least Tyson would make it interesting.

I think the 66 Ali would make Fury look like a completely useless dope. Fury is ABSURDLY fucking overrated at this point.

Lewis and Bowe are bigger threats to Ali than Fury.

Edit: Okay, Lewis is a threat. Bowe has no chance against 66 Ali.
