He looks more like Aaron Hernandez, I think.

I see it...bs fight but will sell out in Vegas or NYC...and it will do close to a million ppv buys... a lot more than a Charlo fight...or a Munguia fight.

Is berlanga really popular? Seems to be that Munguia is much more known

Berlanga is known among Puerto Ricans in the NYC area - he's no mainstream star. Certainly nothing close to Trinindad/Cotto level as far as stardom among his people goes.

Munguia would definitely be the A-side of the promotion if they fought.

They don't like him...I know a few who would love to see that bum ninja get knockout...like myself and will pay to see it. If Munguia does it, it's less meaninful...

Well, he's right about the selling out in NYC part.

Canelo vs Berlanga would 100% sell out the Garden or Barclays. Definitely Barclays. I doubt it sells out Vegas.

It certainly doesn't do anywhere near 1 mil in PPV buys though. Probably not even 500k buys.

Canelo vs Crawford would break 1 mil in PPV buys.

Crawfords got that "talented guy but how far can he go" quality about him. If he starts straying outside his comfort zone- weightwise- it gets more and more interesting....I really think that at an acceptable weight, he can befuddle Alvarez.

Canelo v Charlo did 600-700K....Canelo v Plant did 500K you don't think Canelo vs Berlanga will do closer to a million?

Sick right hand for the ko. Berlanga hasn't progressed as quickly as expected (or maybe even at all) but he still could make some noise if he acquires the right mindset. A Canelo fight right now, or even Munguia, would be disastrous though.

He's not gonna get any better. The time is now. McCrory was outboxing him in spots.

It's time to cash Berlanga out. Either against Canelo, or if Canelo chooses Charlo or Crawford, then cash him out against Munguia.

No sense in keeping him in with these journeyman. It's a waste of time, and sooner or later one of these fringe guys are gonna beat him.

Yeah, ''cashout'' is basically the groove you get from Berlanga and his team so doubtful a lot of hard work is being done on improving him.

Nah, I don't think it will get close to a million in PPV buys, if we define "close" to a million like 800-900k.

It might do in the same neighborhood of buys as Canelo-Plant, but might do less. Caleb is an articulate trash talker. Berlanga can barely string a sentence together.

As for Canelo-Charlo: The Charlo bros are much bigger mainstream names than Berlanga.

Like I said though, Canelo-Berlanga would sell out if they put it in Barclays - due the combination of Canelo's star power and Edgar being from BK.

But beyond NYC, Berlanga is no star. All my Rican friends consider him a fraud.

The only two Canelo opponents that might break 1 mil in PPV buys at this point are Benavidez and Crawford. Moreso Crawford, because post-Spence Bud's now a bigger mainstream star than Benavidez.

But outside of those two, nah. Canelo's not gettin close to 1 mil PPV buys fighting Jermall, Munguia, or Berlanga.
