Eubank certainly looks allot better. Going on resumes it's not obvious that he was though, JOM is right.

As Groucho Marx put it: 'who you gonna believe - me or your lying eyes!?'

I don't think Froch would beat him in a fight, if that's what you mean

I do believe Dawson was ranked to top-10 p4p, maybe even top 5 when Pascal beat him so I support JoM there. However, it doesn't say much, since Dawson had zero good outings since beating Adamek, which put him on the map. The same way Vernon Forrest was p4p #1 in several ranking lists after beating Mosley, but that doesn't make Mayorga better than Benn either

Exactly, Doorson was horrendously overrated based on 1 decent win over a weight drained Adamek.

I disagree with you, cause his wins over Tarver and Hopkins and Johnson (the second time) were, if not spectacular, at least pretty solid.

Once again, your ability to be wrong on every single point in a single post impresses me enormously.

Maybe but you cant be basing that on his resume. Beyond the 2 fights against Watson and Benn there's a win over Rochicani or however you spell it & a big load of nothing....and not even uniform dominance over that load of nothing, either.

Realistically he's 1-1 with Benn and would have been 1-1 with Watson (at best) if it wasn't for his injury. I appreciate he caused the injury but something like that is more or less down to horrible fluke.

Wins over Benn and Watson (x2) = better than every single win Pascal has ever had combined. Doorson was utterly overrated (as I and a couple others here said all along - that mook didn't want to fight FFS), Hopkins was a million years old and the rest...

Watson was better than Eubank and Benn, as was Collins.

So would I. In a heartbeat. And I'm a big Froch fan nowadays.

Froch should be rated GREATER historically on the strength of his resume relative to his peers and his excellent wins BUT the standard today at 168 is FUCKING MILES lesser than it was when Benn, Watson, Eubanks, Jones, Toney, Nunn, McClellan, Collins etc were knocking about. By comparison, Lucian Bute and Arthur Abraham were top 5 (Bute ranked no.1 in loads of places) before Froch beat them. Imagine what Benn would have done to Boot...

Watson was. Collins has wins against both but very diminished versions of each. Much more contestable. And Collins has turned into a real bitter dickhead.

I agree his resumé isn't the best, that's why this poll is based on their ability, and who you'd pick head to head.

I can't remember the rematch with Benn, but when it counted, Eubank stopped him. Eubank also beat Watson twice. The extent of the injury was sadly and horribly flukey, but the punch wasn't, it was an excellent punch, and Chris could bang.

    Collins?

He beat a shell of those fighters really. I think a prime Eubs would have battered him, and prime Benn would have beaten him too.

Eubanks' said himself in that SKY thingy that he was making enough money in England so had no real need to fight in the US or elsewhere. His rep is based on 'beating guys who beat guys' - he knocked out Watson who knocked out Benn who knocked out McClellan/Barkley/De Witt etc...I agree with your take on the Benn/Watson fights (although Watson was flat out robbed in the first in the second he was miles ahead but the damage was done by a punch - you can't really argue that is a 'fluke' in a boxing match) though - Eubanks' standalone resume, for a guy of his ability, is fairly thin.

Eubank was quite a bit better. I guess I'm not 100% sure who wins at 175?
