I think it had more to do with everyone being fan boys of Star Wars and giving that film a pass because it was just as stupid as this film yet somehow was less entertaining.

No I don't and never had.

You must be confusing me with someone else because that is flat out not true and I can prove it with past posts or showing you my personal comic book collection.

Now when it comes to to the films I want both companies to do well because everyone benefits, even you, although I'm sure you'll still be able to find some negative angle to complain about, so don't despair.

So I finally watched this. The extended 'better' version. Much like MoS it's overaught joyless crap. Remember when Superman was the clean cut hopeful character?

Affleck as Batman. Good. Affleck as Bruce Wayne. Good. Hopefully if he gets his own film, it will be on par with the Nolan films.

Wonder Woman. The shit where she appears between the heroes and her music cranks while the audience gets an eyefuck close up of her standing there made me laugh out loud. I'm not sure that's what they were going for. That said I didn't hate her and maybe she'll get a good film. I doubt it.

Superman. Cavill I think looks good as the character. I think had they not gone for the 'dark gritty' approach, his portrayals would be seen in a more favorable light. I hope he gets the chance to star in a more 'traditional' Superman film. One where he doesn't play a murderous hypocrite.

Luthor was awful. Flat out garbage. Woefully miscast and for fucks sake wipe your nose you cunt.

It's been a hamfisted effort by D.C. To catch up to Marvel thus far. They'd better hope the next offerings deliver cause right now it's toilet time.

Oh and Doomsday. Terrible. Comic fans please explain something to me: why is Superman damaged by the nuke? Isn't he indestructible unless the green plot device is around?

Speaking of, I did enjoy the way Batman fought SM in this. Lots of planning, gadgets and traps. Nice.

Lex Luthor was definitely the worst part of BvS. Horribly miscast. If I don't see another film with Jesse Eisenberg in my lifetime it'll be too soon. Annoying, annoying cunt.

I don't like Caville as Superman to be honest. Affleck is GREAT as Batman though. Probably the best Batman yet.

Like Man of Steel before it, I don't care for too many flashbacks and dream sequences in a Superhero Flick. It was better than MoS though.

Doomsday was too big and just didn't look the part. Wonder Woman seemed to be able to handle him far more easily than Superman could...which seems ridiculous to me. Superman shouldn't have been able to fly the Kryptonite into Doomsday....it should have weakened him too much.

DC have done a disappointing job so far which is sad for me...because I was far more of a DC comics fan as a kid than a Marvel fan.

Jesse Eisenberg isn't that bad. I agree that he fuckin sucked as Luthor, but he's had some good performances overall and he was brilliant as Mark Zuckerberg. But then again, he's a nerd and so is Zuckerberg, so it wasn't a big stretch to play him.

And there's nothing wrong with Cavill as Superman. Superman fans are annoying because essentially they want Christopher Reeve to rise from the dead walking and to reprise the role. Sorry, it's not gonna happen. Reeve will always be THE Superman, but Cavill does a damn good job in the role.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think Caville is terrible. Far from it. But yes, he's no Christopher Reeve. He doesn't have the gravitas that Reeve had...and Superman was always a hero with strength of character.

But yes...Eisenberg was cast well as Zuckerberg...due to the nerd aspect....but he's still an annoying actor with his "isms".

    He's a fucking prick that's what.

Probably the most unwatchable and annoying cunt of an actor in movies today...

I think Cavill is hurt by the type of film he's been put in. Have him in a lighter film where he could he smile and have the odd cheesy line like "Care to step outside" and he'd be looked at far better IMO.

Supes isn't a gritty character and shouldn't be forced into that style of film.
