The dog is named after the County.

And the County is named after Sly.

And Sly is named after some gay people that got married when they thought nobody was looking.:eek:hno::shadow:

So the biggest star in the UFC, who was already a star BEFORE he entered UFC, is roughly comparable to a mid-level beltholder in boxing.

The top tier of boxing Floyd Jr, Manny Pac, the Klitschkos. Guys who make more for one fight than Lesnar has made in his entire career.

    Not that much.

This might be because Floyd was not an established star who inked a deal to enter boxing based on his fame in another sport followed by a similar demographic (in this case, rednecks and homosexuals).

It might also have something to do with the fact that a boxer, no matter what his bona fides are, is unlikely to fight an established star, hall-of-famer and former champion in his very first pro fight. If he did so, he would be unlikely to win.

Similarly, Floyd did not fight for the championship belt in his 3rd pro fight, as no other boxer ever has, and as Lesnar did.

I don't know, I don't think it speaks very well for the sport you seem to be an apologist for that a guy from a fake sport entered the ranks and won the championship in 3 fights. Almost makes it seem like a joke, really. A homoerotic one.

Brock Lesnar took one steaming dump on the credibility of cage fighting after another.

"You can't just walk in and dominate with no experience." - cage fighting fans.

But wait... Brock is a world class wrestler! He had all kinds of experience!

Hold on... I thought you you had to be good at multiple disciplines to succeed in cage fighting? I guess not.

What a crock of shit that "sport" is. It's all trash. Every single fighter, other than the top two or three guys, is fucking awful. AWFUL.

    Thanks. :bears:

even if all the guys were super skilled technicians, it would still be a homoerotic sport with a ridiculous cartoonish atmosphere (the cage itself) and an unsettling level of "helpless guy on the ground getting kneed in the face 15 times" scenarios that, rather than causing revulsion in its fans, cause arousal and celebration.

You can keep that shit. Boxing is great because you are severely limited to what you can do. Would Football (soccer) be way better if you could use your hands?

You might want to look up Lesnar's actual wrestling credentials. Not the fake ones. I'm sure you knew that though, I'm sure you also know a solid wrestling base is one of the best things to have in MMA.

How did James Toney do? Wrestling is the best single skill you can have for MMA. Boxing, not so much.

Any striker with no ground game doesn't do well in MMA.
