    No you can't.

You can recycle someone else's opinion.

When doing that, however, you should give credit where it's due.

In that case I don't want to ever read an opinion from you about the Bible or any historical event.

With your vast knowledge of boxing, if a fighter thinks he has a broken hand, do they carefully cut his glove open after the fight and take him to the hospital eventually or do they just rip his gloves off and heal the broken hand by themselves.

He just needed an excuse for his strategy and he didn´t fight no different in the first two rounds compared to the next nine. He didn´t fight with any sense of urgency either. He knew, he´d get the decision so many others, who had a better performance againt Valuev didn´t get.

Perhaps you should discuss that with his camp, then.

I mean, if you really feel that strongly about it, make a difference.

Walk up to them, stand up straight, spread your feet, look at them directly in the eye, smile, introduce yourself, and say something to that effect.

Then, you will have stated your views, Haye's people will most likely respect that as you did it in person, and you can give us a good insider story then here on fightbeat, ok?

Once you have done it, you will have established yourself as a contributor here, not just a typer.

I´m just trying to draw from your great experience in boxing. What would be the proper procedure to handle a broken hand?

    Seems a reasonable question.

I don't think the hand injury affected his strategy all that much....he kept his output low as a precaution against slowing down later on. Haye had only previously done 12 rounds once....that was a glorified sparring session against Ismael Abdoul, a fighter who basically never comes out of his shell.

Haye hasn't been pushed for 10 rounds, let alone 12. As i've said somewhere else on this forum, if they were to fight again, now Haye know's what is required, he'd be able to up his punch output.

Valuev is a special fighter, and to beat him, especially when you are a blown up cruiserweight, you need a special plan. Haye had to fight his instincts in every round of that fight. To my mind, he executed his fight plan, not perfectly, but very well. He landed the significant punches, and took virtually nothing back. It was ridiculous really....i can't recall seeing someone miss so much as Valuev did, and that is not something that should be rewarded.

Whether it is actually broken i don't know, but he certainly did some damage to his right hand....he's been proudly showing off the swelling to the media.

Yes, he was. He fought a conservative, cautious, and ultimately boring fight. When a fighter does not have the ability to win a fight any other way, it is their charge to fight such a fight. But when a fighter has the ability to easily throw more punches and probably KO their opponent, then this sort of fight is disappointing.

Haye had better learn to engage more. He is fast and agile enough to avoid punches even when he is within punching range, he does not need to spend half the fight 10 feet out. He is accurate, and punches like a hammer. He needs to amend his style such that he spends a bit more time in the pocket throwing combinations.

He really should have worked on that against Valuev, as it would have helped with what he will need to do against Wlad. If he could stay in range longer and get more punches off, he really has a viable shot at knocking Wlad out. Vitali would be tougher, but there again workrate is absolutely key.

Regardless of his flaws, Haye is just about the only guy who makes me excited about possible upcoming heavyweight fights.

I thoroughly agree, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know the sinister definition behind 'refreshing' when it comes to Haye, the fact that he willingly participated in a fix, in a fight most scored for Valuev, and was given a pass for withdrawing from the Klitschko fights after EXCITING us in his declaration that he was here to help rid boxing of Eastern European Ivan Drago robots,.. well, he's 'secretly' satisfied the Brits, and quenched the thirst of most Fraud-groupies I suspect, to those two social groups, enjoy your paper champ, this is what you craved for [IMG] .

Yes, without sounding too conspiracy theorist, I think Haye's camp definitely knew they didnt have to take the belt from the champion

Serious? Ruslan Chagaev produced a much more exciting and convincing victory over Valuev. Heck, Sultan Ibragimov looked pretty exciting against weak opponents too
