    Chandler, like Pryor, had a short prime due to cocaine addiction.

    I don't think Sandoval's approach to fighting Chandler was all too dissimilar from Carter's (i.e.: darting in and out, attacking unpredictably). I agree that Sandoval was an underrated fighter (he was deprived of the chance to win an Olympic medal by the US boycott of the Russian games), but I think the Carter fight demonstrates what Chandler would've done to him if he still had his footwork and reflexes.

    Chandler's exit from the sport was similar to Freddie Steele's IMO - they each lost their title on a surprising upset and then just retired. In both cases, it was reported that an injury spurred their early exit from the sport.

    Vargas went downhill pretty fast after Tito. Won another title, but never won another big fight.
