also note there is no cost to upgrade vbulletin. but there is a yearly fee to have it. The forum license is current until next june

upgrades are free and completed through the control panel. The reason I did not upgrade is because not all templates are compatible with upgraded versions of VB. I can upgrade tonight and have the new version, but I would have to look for a new template.
