    Tony Thompson and JC Gomez.

I'm not sure Sultan is even top 10. I don't think he is. But he's decent, regardless. And he has a belt. So let's have him fight someone who can take the belt out of his hands and not let him milk the holy cows anymore.

agREED with you on Gomez. I can see Thompson beating Ibragimov, though, and no worse than causing a lot of problems for any other Top 10 heavyweight.

But the good news is, Thompson is next in line for the winner of Wlad-Sultan, as he's the WBO mandatory.

Absolutely...and I think in the rematch Peter will come out trying to box - and will get stuck in that gear the whole fight. By the time he gets desperate enough it will be too late.

Completely agree on Maskaev as well -- I've been saying this for a while. Maskaev-Peter is a LIVE fight.

    Peace.

I was being an ass here, since you said that Ibragimov is not higher than top-10. Yet, you CAN'T be higher then that, since it means the places from 1-10.

Too bad you turned this into a legitimate discussion

They are or should be ranked in the top 10, absolutely.

And they may not be "better" in terms of resume....but both have HUGE chances against either Ibragimov or Chagaev...ESPECIALLY Thompson.

If you really think those guys are no better and have no chance, you haven't seen them fight.

    Peace.

    Read my post above:nono:

but yeah, they both are pretty much on the same level as Ibragimov. I would definitely favor Chagaev over both, but Thompson could well beat Sultan, considering how easily he dealt with Timor. I don't think that highly on Gomez though: against certain kind of opponents he does look impressive, but I think he might be fragile enough even for Sultan to handle

    sorry

But i said he's no better than a Top 10 heavyweight. As in, I don't ever see him being the best heavyweight, and wouldn't pick him against any Top 5 heavyweight, much less Wlad.
