He's got the toned arms with veins there too. I've watched some of his training, and he loves doing kipping chin-ups. You do a lot of chin-ups and you will definitely have a few visible veins running up and down your arms and forearms.

A winning streak like Fedor's in his prime just doesn't happen in the HW division. When you compare it the UFC where no one has defended the title more than twice consecutively, it's tough to argue against Fedor being the GOAT.

It's just too easy to lose at HW, and he didn't in 30 fights over a 9 year stretch.

He certainly had the body fat to lose to get down to 205 but I don't know if he would have been as effective.

Dont you think that Fedor watched Werdum beat Cain and then thought, "I can beat Werdum" and decided to come back?

lol I was thinking that. But he looks in some serious shape. I think he has been contemplating for a while.

Fedor for sure does/did steroids. I'm sure everybody, like literally everybody who fought in pride did them. That's like taking exams, and the teacher allowing cheating, and what you think some stand up kid would go, "nah that's not ethical" ? I don't think so, especially when a lot of money, and careers are on the line. I wouldn't be shocked if that's the reason for Fedors hasty decline in strikeforce, due to getting off roids.

While I hate to agree, I think you are correct. I wonder if any Pride fighters deny it?

Fedor denies it. His body in Pride IMO confirms his side of the story

You can't tell if someone's "natural" by how they look. Steroid users range from scrawny and underweight to fat and sloppy looking to guys who look like Arnold. Steroid use only becomes obvious when someone takes their body to a point that's obviously not attainable naturally.

I don't care if Fedor used to use steroids or not. They weren't banned in Pride, so it wouldn't have been cheating.

I hate PED cheats in any sport. In MMA, I think a failed test should equate to a 2-year suspension. A second offense should equal a lifetime ban. If I was in charge, I would seriously consider harsher penalties on a first time offense if it stems from a fight where the offender inflicted a ton of punishment or destroyed their opponent such as Bigfoot-Hunt or Cyborg-Yamanaka.

With that as background, I also give everyone the benefit of the doubt. Cyborg, Overeem, Belfort, etc all looked like they juiced at ridiculous levels, but I didn't condemn any of them until they actually failed a test.

After Anderson Silva and Gilbert Melendez, nothing would surprise me. I don't have any reason to suspect Cain or Werdum of cheating.

Overeem was the most obvious example of a UFC steroid user at the time of the Lesnar fight. Now he looks like a guy who used to use steroids but still trains hard.

Man, it would be really amazing if he could pull that comeback off. He lost his desire when his dad died, but he remarried his first wife and he looks like he might want to regain his crown. If he has that fire back---well, the mind directs the body. I'd want to see it. Werdum wouldn't have too much fun trying to match that handspeed if Fedor still has it.

Mark Hunt is scheduled for a rematch with Bigfoot at UFC 193. I'd love to see a rematch with Fedor though.

I won't believe the old Fedor is back until I see it. It would be fun if it happens.

I dont think he should come back. He clearly lost interest the last few years of his career and it showed. His legacy is secure. Nothing left for him to prove.

To me, these carefully arranged matches in Japan for Fedor are just ridiculous.

They can spin all the bullshit they want about the UFC's pay scale or co- promoting events, but Fedor avoided the UFC because he knew they wouldn't lob him any softballs.

He doesn't want to face top competition. He wants to extend his career like Aoki by fighting 5th tier comp.

Fedor is not afraid of anything. He constantly faced the toughest competition in pride and never had a problem with it.

Maybe its more of a risk vs reward issue?

You also can't blame him for wanting to aviid Dana White. Dana is a major asshole and Fedor is a man of strict morals.

i disagree with this and there is no evidence to suggest it. The UFC doesnt lob softballs at anyone and Fedor knows it. Fedor just wants that cash that the UFC isnt willing to offer.

Reread my post bro. I said the exact same thing. I said the UFC does NOT lob softballs and that's why he avoided the UFC.

I read his post to disagree that it had anything to do with Fedor wanting easy fights, and that it was solely about money.

yep. I don't think fedor fears any man but if he's going to fight for the UFC he wants to be paid a lot more than the UFC is willing to get him.

Fedor will fight in Japan simply because he can do his roids, fight bums and get paid truck loads of rubels. He will milk his name down there for all it's worth. In the UFC he goes 2-2 or 1-3 or something gets cut and it's a wrap. He's making the smart move

Agreed,I remember when Fedor sigjned up to SF, people were shitting on him and saying he was avoiding the tougher competition in the UFC (when SF had the deeper and beter roster). Even some of the supposed can he fought went out to do pretty well in the UFC (Mark Hunt). Fedor fought pretty much any top fighter from his generation, imo, it's disrespectfull to label him a ducker.

Yeah, but you aren't trying to agree with yourself. You're trying to say he agreed with you and he didn't.
