Tito had it in the bag and should have been given a draw. Otherwise I had Tito up by two.

Tito's the most fucking overrated fighter in recent history. Can't believe people had him p4p No1. It was ridiculous at the time and it's laughable now. He's way closer to Hamed & Tszyu than the elite fighters of recent years.

He's better than Hamed and Tszyu, but I agree with you.

I think Tito looked real promising.. at one point I felt he was a very good "boxer"

but what happened is like with others.. he started KO'ing people and then abandoned all boxing.. he became a plodding left hooker

He was never a great boxer. Around the time he became champion, he was a better boxer and less of a plodder, but he was never really a boxer.

    well.. I wont say "great"

but he was Good! he had a nice assortment of punches, he did not used to load up as much and he moved better..

I was actually impressed in the recent Roy fight with Tito.. it was pretty impressive that he was able to slip and parry a couple shots..

he never will Parry like DLH (who does it excellently) or slip like Sweet Pea but he was defensivly impressive..

Yeah I've heard that claim allot with Tito but I've never really seen that in the tapes. He was a bit more patient and had a little extra speed, slightly less arrogant, slightly less in love with his power but just the exact same guy fundamentally. Good power, good accuracy, good timing; shit head movement, shit balance shit use of angles. I loved watching Tito though - real charismatic and made good action fights great excitment but I think that in itself led the boxing community to befell some sort of mass delusion circa the millenium where they thought this guy was the second coming of Ray Robinson or something. Hell I even heard that specific allusion made by HBo on more than one occasion during his fights. Good punchers (and speedsters) will always look devastating against lesser opponents but it takes intellegence to hang with the best, which Tito (or his father for that matter) never possessed. I stand by it...he achieved a bit more than Tszyu or Hamed but ability wise he rates down with them at best, IMO.
