just more proof you either A.) dont watch boxing or B.) dont know shit about what youre watching.

again, Id love to know why your guy didnt just go straight into a rematch with Mosley, if and only if, a mere tactical error was the reason he lost?

it was on the table, for a year or two. perhaps he was working on that investigation regarding the decision in the first fight?

Forrest would be Tito's best legit welter win. Which says nearly fuck all. Pick 'em.

forrest was not as good as vargas. in fact vargas handled him easily when they were in the ring together when both were underneath the main events banner. man against boy. or are we going by the land of make believe outlook that the vargas victory does not count?

well, it doesn't count in my sentence since it didn't happen at welter. Who's better between a 147 forrest & 154 Vargas seems pretty debatable to me - when were they in the ring together?

actually at welterweight i would agree, forrest would be his best victory. by far.

I had Oscar winning it. I thought he won mostly because he outworked Mosley. IMO Oscar didn't really look that good in that fight. He jabbed well, but he lacked power and accuracy. I can't really recall one devastating punch he landed in that fight but he did do more than Mosley, though the way Oscar faded in the late rounds didn't help his cause.

Mosley at 154 wasn't that good. In his prime at 147 he was very good and of course 135 was his best weight but the competition he faced wasn't that good there either.

I remember reading that they sparred before and that Vargas handled him.

If you really believe this load of crap can you explain to me why fighters like Vargas, Reid, Joppy who Trinidad beat the shit out of had hardly any lumps, cuts, broken noses, swollen eyes??? I mean Vargas and Reid took BOMBS on their grill for 12 FRIGGIN rounds! Surely a fighter using "cast hard wraps"would have caused at least one of these. right? let's look at a couple of guys that were ACTUALLY caught and suspended for glove tampering...

Margarito - Made Cotto look like Mr. Potato head, Cotto was cut over both eyes, had a gash in his mouth and a broken nose, Margarito also tore Lujan ear off! :jaw:

Resto - Billy Collins jr's eyes were battered shut by someone who was considered a light puncher.

I think you see the difference. The truth is Felix was a TREMENDOUS puncher who is very underrated nowadays.

    He does believe it.

In his world, what Resto and Margarito did is comparable to having a vague, unclear dispute in the locker room over how much guaze is allowed over the knuckles.

I tend to think as often as Trinidad hit guys like Vargas, Reid, Joppy, Thiam, and others, had the wraps been loaded with actual PLASTER or something worse, a serious injury or even ring death would have occured.

    Did you see Trinidad/Thiam?

In Vargas and Reid's case, the neurological damage is plenty obvious.

    Cotto always busts up.

Is this supposed to be proof somehow that Tito is innocent? I'm not sure the legal term, but I'd bet lawyers have one to describe the kind of flawed argument you're trying to make.

How many times must I remind you the issue centered around tape, not gauze.

Maybe if you had some actual EVIDENCE it would be more credible.

It's not a secret anymore. Remember? Trinidad got caught and ever since his opponents suddenly showed remarkable ability to stand in front of the guy you can't stand in front of.

After he was caught, he was 2-3 with 2ko (against Cherifi). He lost wide lopsidedly to HOPKINS, WRIGHT AND JONES.He was only able to knock out a welterweight who fought a middleweight and had to hit him 100 times flush to do it. Wright stood in the pocket and jab his face off. Tito could do nothing to keep him off. This is the same guy who knocked out decent chinned guys like Troy Waters the fuck out with single hooks. There is a fucking mountain of circumstantial evidence. People like you say oh...he was past it. Amazing he was past it once and on the night he was exposed and after he was able to knock out Cherifi and mayorga only. Suck on that.

As for his wraps being illegal, it is a MATTER OF FACT the same as it is 10:13 p.m. on the westcoast. If you think extra padding doesn't help, you don't know shit.

Tito's power went away the very night he got caught he lkayo'd two bums and never came close to hurting either Hopkins, Wright or Jones. Jones had no chin and was battered and stopped by everyone. Tito never made him blink. Wright is the true test. He was Tito's size and stood right in front of him. Winky never blinked.

Ok, So after he was "caught" (and never suspended mind you ) it was obvious to you he cheated most his career cause he couldn't ko Hopkins (an all-time great MW who has NEVER been koed) and Wright (who i also believe has never been koed) is that what you are telling me?

It's more than that. He couldn't dent Hopkins( which is fine, no stops him), he couldn't dent Winky (who was hurt by Shane) or Roy who has lost almost all his last 10 fights by knock out. Amazing that his kayos stopped once Hopkins blew the whistle. The Mayorga fight is further proof the wraps helped him significantly. He landed shot after shot, flush, clean and brutal, yet needed to land 100 shots on the face, flush shots to stop Mayorga. The same guy made William Joppy literally fly a few feet from a right hand a couple fights before.

Yeah because he landed flush shots at a high connect rate against Hopkins and Wright??? Your a clown.

As for Jones, the fight was at 170.

So your saying that his KOs of Cherifi and Mayorga are evidence of wrap loading?? Yeah sure.

Troy Waters KO suspet? GTFO out here!

Has Roy Jones ever been Kayo'd, cocksucker?NY COMMISSION made him re-wrap and said it was a violation of the rules. This is a matter of fact, genius.

Couldn't KO? He couldn't win a round practically. Where's the power gone? All of the sudden, Trinidad's the one backing up. His punches didn't do shit.

He couldn't land at a high percentage because his vaunted power was gone. They literally had a guy who had no boxing skill and now no power standing in front of them. Mayorga is absolute evidence his wraps helped him. Without them, he was forced to unload ridiculous shots to stop a guy who took them for what 8-9 rounds. Name a Julian Jackson opponent who did that? Have you even seen the Waters fight. It was a single left hook and Waters looked like he had mad cow disease. This was from a guy who was always somewhat durable previous--cheato and his wraps had him out in less than 3 minutes. Shit, Terry Norris unloaded the kitchen sink on that fool and took 8 rounds to stop.Terry could punch at the very least.

Seriously! People point to the Mayorga fight like it's proof he could still punch? Huh? Behind the fact he was caught red handed, the Mayorga fight is the best evidence he had been loading. Pre-hopkins, nobody could've survived one round of a beating like that.

Btw. Tito is too flat footed and one dimensional to beat let alone ko any version of Jones.

Less stress on the hands. Imagine punching dry wall. A guy with less padding isn't going to go full tilt because his hands will be damaged. Tito could unload because he had literally twice the legal limits of gauze. He had power naturally. He was a very natural puncher with torque, good movement of his hands, good hand speed. Tito could blast his hands repeatedly because his hands had extra cushion. His opponents couldn't because if you punch your hardest and miss, you won't be doing it again in that evening. That is why MARGARITO IS worse. He cemented his hands and was given power that he didn't have. Tito had power, but the wraps were illegal. That is not my opinion. It is a fact. NYC made him re-wrap solely because it was in violation of the rules. Why would they do that, because it gave Tito and advantage.
