    Except that Hopkins was active and a "champion" when Calzaghe moved up and fought him...and Hopkins followed it up with a very good physical performance, and one of his best wins, after that fight.

    As opposed to Whitaker, who'd been inactive and tested positive for cocaine twice before the Trinidad fight...and never won after that loss.

    Other than that, they're very much alike.

    good point...though that Hopkins wasn't even 30% the fighter he was at Middleweight...

    And Trinidad try to fight the best even moving up in weight to do so...while Calzaghe bid his time and waited...waited...waited...till Jones/Hopkins got old/lose
