I lost out on a good job because of what some people did to me....I shared it here....some forumites decided it was a good laugh, funny, ha ha.

It doesn't surprise me at all.

In 2000, the world had a very certain bent, a very certain trend.

Today, in and out of the ring, things have changed.

A lot of formerly very certain things have changed and changed utterly.

These will reflect on forum politics as all this forum really constitutes is a minor, perhaps narrow, but ultimately accurate reflection of the {boxing} World in general.

In 2000, the HW champ was Black, was always Black, was always going to be Black and most likely African-American.

There were more Black, AA and Hispanic champs.

The USA ruled supreme. Confidence was high, in and out of the ring.

9-11, the Wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.....the fucking Klitschkos....these are all things anathema to the general trend as it stood in 2000.

In 1996, America had the "Worst" Olympic team that it ever could have had {boxing}

But shit got worse and not better.

That brings things out in people....it's like when Carl Lewis got the Silver in Korea, for a day the bollox fell out of the NASDAQ of American Sports. The Dow of Yankee Sporting Prowess went through the floor. Panic reigned. There was only chaos.

There are other things....social media and the rise of the internet has constituted a rising tide of sorts, it has raised all boats, and caught some people off guard. It allows for rapid fluid responses and postulations by people who may not agree with the perceived wisdoms.

Look at Tennis. Women get equal prize money, in grand slams, to men after all these lesbians campaigned for it and put pressure on the Tennis governing body.

The men have to play FIVE sets, the women play THREE sets.
The men's side is more competitive (there's a reason why some women are far more dominant than any man has been).
The men are flat out better: no man in the top 200 would lose to any women in the top 200.
