Just a Hunch... Rhodes Never Proved to B as GOOD as Some of the Early, Prince Naseem Hamed Related HYPE Attributed him w/Being, Nor as BAD as Some of those Early Shocking Losses Made him Appear to Be... REED Thinks Alvarez's AGGRESSION & Heavy Handedness will Eventually Take a TOLL on Rhodes..... REED:hammert:
I have a gut feeling alvarez takes this between rounds 10-11, but i'm rooting for rhodes to last the distance.
REED's Always Leaned Towards LIKING Rhodes, if for No Other Reason than INVENTING the Front Flip that Prince Naseem Made Famous!!!.... REED:hammert:
Rhodes always fought in a style which belied national and ethnic stereotypes. Rhodes was loose and unorthodox and flash, a mile removed from the stereotypical stand-up, stand-off European, British stance. Rhodes was stopped by a guy called Jason Matthews, who had a the physique of a statue and whose chin was made from the same stuff. Porcelain, that is. Rhodes had hurt Matthews to the body in that fight in the first round, and tried to get shirty in the 2nd and paid the price for it. Matthews could bang. Since then Rhodes has flitted in and out of the sport. He looks and sounds like a crackhead who hasn't eaten in a month. His win over fringe-world-class Jamie Moore re-established Rhodes in a big way. He isn't being brought over to beat Alvarez, but he will offer a target far removed, literally and metaphorically, from the slow, face-first Baldomir and painfully mechanical and stiff Matthew Hatton. If Alvarez thinks this is Hatton part-deux, he is very much mistaken.
I like Rhodes, he's a blast from the past. Hope he does it, I'm not sold on Alvarez, I think he'll have a bit too much though
His youth and verve will get the job done, but the Rhodes who lost to Otis Grant at 160 would have been a far sterner test.
Don't worry about it. Were you surprised that Alvarez was taken the distance by Rhodes??? Fightnews seems to be down.
:dunno: I thought it was going fine. Any wisdom you can bestow upon us vis a vis Klitschko vs Haye {or, as it is known in England, Haye vs Klitschko}
Devon Alexander vs. Lucas Matthysse (junior welterweight) Alexander MD 12 Alexander MD 12 Tavoris Cloud vs. Yusaf Mack (IBF light heavyweight championship) What a fucking joke. Mack? Mack??? Cloud KO8 Cloud KO8 __________________
Was just asking since scores haven't been updated in about a month, and even Hut*Hut seems to no longer have time to make predictions, unless I missed a few posts. Klit by decision or late knockout in a fight where the staredown/Face-Off is the most exciting moment.
So are we done here? Hut claimed to be updating scores and never did. The Klitschko fight isn't listed. Are we picking this fight or what? Wlad KO 4 Wlad KO 7
