FightBeat Prediction League - ROUND EIGHT. Ward Vs Miranda...your picks please

Sorry guys for the delay in getting round 8 up here, fucking BT, cutting off my line. Anyways, I'm here now, so here we go with round 8!

Not a great bunch of fights here unfortunately, in fact it's fucking terrible, possibly the worst round of fights we have ever had, but we take what we can get I suppose.

Here are the rules once again:

    (1) You CANNOT change a prediction - I will take only your first post with your predictions, make sure and double check what you post is what you are actually predicting.

    (2) No editing posts. Any evidence of editing your predictions means you're a cheating little fooker and no one likes a cheating little fooker, so you will be disqualified

    (3) Please post your predictions before the deadline, in this case the deadline is saturday before 6pm, I'll go by board time.

    (4) You can predict in as many rounds as you want to, leave and come back as you wish, although obviously it makes sense to post predictions every round if you want to accumalate enough points and have a decent shot at winning!

    Those are the rules...Shimples!

    How it works:

The points system works as follows:

3 Points for predicting the correct winner

6 Points for predicting the correct winner and the correct method of victory

10 Points for predicting the correct winner, the correct method of victory and the correct round/type of decision

20 Points for predicting a draw correctly. I will not differentuate between a standard draw and a technical draw. As long as the official result is a draw and you predicted it, you get 20 points my son. No Contests will not count as draws before anyone asks, however, if you happen to correctly predict a No Contest then I will report you to the relevant authorities, because that shit is fixed...lol

There are now a potential 75+ points available for correctly predicting all five fights 100% correct under the Five Fight Slam rule. So that means correctly predicting the right fighter, the right method of victory and the correct round/UD or SD in ALL FIVE fights. Sounds hard to do? It fucking is! But get it once and that could be all you need to win the Title!

If any of the five fights are called off and there are less than five fights in one round because of this, then the Five Fight Slam bonus will not be available, even if you predict the remaining four fights 100% exact.

For ease of tallying up everyones predictions, please don't write an essay because no one wants to read it, just keep it simple like the example below

If you pick Floyd to beat Hatton by 10th round KO put your prediction down as

    Floyd KO 10 Hatton

I will make no differences between a one punch knockout, a corner stoppage, bla bla, it all comes under KO. In the event of a between rounds stoppage, I will count a correct round prediction as being the round before or after, for example, if Hattons corner pulls him out between rounds 10 and 11, anyone who predicted Floyd KO 10 Hatton or Floyd KO 11 Hatton would get 10 points.

If you pick Floyd to win a unanimous decision over Hatton, please put your prediction down as

    Floyd UD Hatton

Make sure you specify as to whether its a UD or a SD as if you get it correct it will give you the full 10 points, where as just saying "Floyd wins on points" would only get you 6. For the benefit of the rules, and to not be a petty twat, there is no difference between a majority decision and a split decision in this game.

With regards to TECHNICAL DECISIONS, I have decided to keep the rule in place where a technical decision will count as the type of technical decision it is, as we had with the Khan fight in the first round, it ended in a Technical UNANIMOUS Decision, so anyone who predicted a Khan UD got 10 points.

    Now onto the important stuff.....

    http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=15627&cat=boxer

***PLEASE BEAR IN MIND THAT THIS IS A 10 ROUND FIGHT WHEN MAKING YOUR PREDICTION***
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

Again, before anyone says it, I already know that it's one sorry fucking line up of fights this round, alas, we can't have Hatton-Pacquiao every week, there are some decent fights on friday but I can't add them as some people won't post in time, so gotta be fair.

Personally, I hope I never have to type some of these names up here ever again, especially that Polish guy, what the fuck was that?

Anyway, as usual, if I have made any mistake or any of the fights get called off please let me know asap, and good luck to all!

If people are ok for me to include friday night fights then i am more than happy to put them on there in future? to be honest it would have been more than welcome this round with the Johnson fight in the US and also the Rogan V Sexton fight here in the UK i would have liked to have added, because these fights are fucking shite lol.

only reason i have the saturday rule is there are alot of posters who post last minute on saturday and would have missed out if friday fights were included.

FightBeat Prediction League - ROUND NINE. Nishioka Vs Gonzalez...your picks please

Well the fights are somewhat better this round than the last one, thanks to a decent card in Mexico.

Some people in the last round weren't too happy with the quality of the fights included (myself being one of them) and suggested we include friday night fights as there are limited pickings on saturdays. The only reason this isn't in place right now is because alot of people post last minute on saturday and you could get quite a few posters missing out on points. However if you are all OK with friday night fights being included then please, let me know, I will be more than happy to include them next round!

If you would like friday night fights to be included, please just post something along the lines of "Yes to friday" or whatever after your predictions.

    Thanks alot

Javier Castro is quite a common name it seems, which means I have to wade through a million or so non-related videos to find something of him, and nothing seems to be coming up, however he did fight Antonio Diaz in his last fight and pushed him very close in a UD loss, here is his record
