Fragomeni is out of the Huck bout, no replacement yet.

    I would add

    Apr. 2nd

    Samuel Peter vs. Robert Helenius

    Apr. 8th

Hozumi Hasegawa vs. Jhonny Gonzalez (in Japan not sure it will happen)

    Apr. 9th

Dimitri Sartison vs. Robert Stieglitz (WBO/WBA regular-168 unification)

    Apr. 15th

Omar Narvaez vs. Cesar Seda (WBO super-flyweight)

    May 7th

Sebastian Sylvester vs. Daniel Geale (IBF middleweight mandatory defense)

Sylvester - Geale is a fair shout, but i don't think the rest warrant inclusion.

My general policy up until now is only to include legit world title fights in fights from bantamweight or above and other competitive, significant & relevant fights big enough that the majority will be familiar with at least one participant.

The notion of Dimitri Sartison vs. Robert Stieglitz being a 168 unification match is downright offensive, I don't think that fight is worthy of inclusion, but I'll be easy to convince otherwise. WBO diaper weight fights are too obscure, IMO. Sam Peter is a fucking fat mess & I don't think Helenius has enough potential to be considered 'relevant'.

Again, if people disagree just say and I'll add them, but I just think that if we include EVERYTHING, it's a slippery slope. The calendar is already pretty damn full, there.

In fact, to be totally honest, I don't think the Sylvester fight warrants inclusion either. Neither guy is world class (or a touted prospect) and their title is paper at best.

    Opinions, please!

Stieglitz is the legit WBO champion. He has fought on HBO. He has fought on Sky Sports. Between them they have fought regular TV fighters like Kessler, Andrade, Gevor, Berrio, Ornelas, Balszay. So it should be possible to form an opinion on that fight and it really is close to a pickem. Both are ranked inside the top 10 by boxrec and top 15 in most independent rankings.

On the other hand how am I supposed to form an opinion on DeGale vs. Groves, who both have fought nothing but bums and have never been televised outside of the UK? Still DeGale is the huge betting favourite.

If you want me to cull the DeGale fight I will. I think he has (near) future p4p potential and that makes him relevant & interesting by my way of thinking, but I see your point.

Guys with dominant stoppage losses to Kessler and Andrade are indisputably not relevant to world level though, IMHO, especially in a division as packed with better fighters and fights between them as 168. It's the same reason I didn't think the Gavin Rees British title fight was worthy of inclusion. That's a very interesting fight at it's level, but again, it's a slippery slope and I think only guys with viable (perceived or otherwise) aspirations to the very top level should be included.

I want other people to pipe up on this though. Do you want more fights included or do you want it limited like it has been?

Of course DeGale-Groves should count. It's a big fight. I'd have Stieglitz in too if it makes you happy

A fight like Nishika Vs Munoz, for sure.

Stieglitz? A guy that got stopped by Andrade?

Probably not. Results are too random with these fringe world level guys, hard to make intelligent picks.

I guess so. But aside from that, Bute has proved to be a genuine world level guy. Stieglitz, not so much.

But to be fair, even though DeGale might be better, he has not proven to be world level anymore than Stieglitz. Who knows, he might get crushed by Andrade too.

By the way, is Barneyboy the dark horse of the competition?

DeGale hasn't proven shit, but a guy the book is still open on is interesting. Stieglitz isn't.

But I'll go ahead and include those fights if people wanna play them.

    Yeah I agree.

DeGale might be unproven, but I guess that's interesting in a way, see what he's got.

Stieglitz? We know exactly the level of fighter he is, so yeah, not particularly compelling.
