Yup, that's the way I scored it. I just figured those who picked a stoppage like Irish might be due a compensatory point or 2.

I'm happy either way. At the bookies I had my money on Bradley by decision straddled by the fight not to go the distance. Flukily, I get paid at both ends of this one!:cheer::cheer::cheer::cheer:

Nice, well done. I really figured Alexander would bring more to the table.

I did as well. Alexander didn't come to fight. I thought he would be at least competitive with Maidana and Khan but on that form i think both would beat Alexander.

This time last year I thought Alexander was the best of the lot. I should have re-evaluated after his struggles vs. Kotelnik, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt and chalked it up to an off night in his home town.

I agree with you. Alexander didn't come to fight last night at all. With a little commitment, Bradley was right there for him.

Damn, my first pick was MD. It was close to an MD as one judge had it 96-95.

What points do I get considering my second pick was Bradley UD?

I've never understood the hype behind Alexander.

His most impressive win is an admittedly nice one punch KO over Urango. Other than that, he has looked very average at world level.

I knew he had no realistic chance, hence my straddle was also Bradley UD ;)

By the way, those punch stat numbers are fucking bullshit. Alexander landed more power shots? WHAT??

He hardly landed anything clean. Flicking jabs and grazing power shots with nothing on them.

Bradley consistently landed the better, cleaner shots, round after round.

And in regards to Bradley, I've said for a while he's the best at 140, I pick him over Khan and Maidana too.

Steve - just curious, why did you think Alexander was the best of the lot? I've never seen anything of him that made me think he was in Bradley's league.

There is your answer. Right there. From the knockdown through to the commentary and the post-fight interview, thats the origin of the hype right there.

Done. Any more demands, your majesty?

I'll be very surprised in steve_Dave and REED spend long at the bottom of the table. This is kinda like after the first day of the premiership when Bolton and Wigan have had flukey wins and Man Utd are 3rd bottom.

Fuck I now have to go and watch Donaire fights to try and do better for the next round. The shame of it, watching Midgets and guessing how they will do in their next fights. :shit:

I still think me, irish & Illuminati should get a bonus point for predicting a stoppage. Alexander quit.:dunno:

No you should get nothing for a stoppage because it wasn't a TKO.

I think in the spirit of the scoring system, there should be some reward for the fight not going the distance. Alexander was getting outhustled, frustrated, wanted a way out and quit. 'Bradley stoppage 10' was sure as hell a closer guess than 'Alexander SD'.

For the next batch of fights I'll build something like that into the scoring system, along with slightly differentiating between types of close decision.

I disagree. Unless it's an actual stoppage in the sense that someone was stopped then it shouldn't be counted as such. It is a bit of a grey area but the fact is the fights outcome was decided on a decision, end of. It's your rules mate of course so it's up to you, but I think it's worth bringing up.

Can I get something for calling a majority decision, too. One judge was only one point away from a draw. :Steve-Dave/MMA:

I´m still disgusted that Alexander didn´t get the benefit of the doubt this time, but I´m sure Bradley is glad Kotelnik took Alexanders get out of jail card.

'Benefit of the doubt'. The guy was grimacing and wailing like a little boy having hydrogen peroxide put on his scraped knee. He left the doctor basically no choice. He quit.

I thought he was too skillful for Bradley. I liked some of the moves he was making vs. Witter and Urango. Also, at the time, it was tough to rate Khan because he hadn't forced us to forgive the Prescott loss yet.

It's not that I thought Alexander was amazing, I just thought he was better than Bradley and Khan. A lot can change in a year, and it's not like I spent hours and hours breaking it all down. I just thought he was looking good in there.

I'd still argue that with a different mentality, he had the tools to beat Bradley. And, especially against Urango, it looked like he was interested in doing more than just winning/surviving. He didn't come to fight on Saturday.

I'd like to add a point that hasn't really been discussed. Alexander might be too nice a guy to be a great fighter. When you add that to his obvious stupidity (he's clearly very simple) it probably doesn't make an elite fighter.

Somebody has to take Alexander aside and teach him how to throw a fecking jab. That limp dick arm flick he has masquerading for one right now really isn't gonna cut it. Especially for a guy like Alexander who looks to base his game on a consistent jab. It's a fairly awful punch.
