Nobody in the last few years has gotten more hatred on message boards than Mayweather & De La Hoya, both from the states.

Irish - I don't disagree with you about Hatton, he was already past prime when he fought Mayweather, and clearly wasn't suited to 147 anyway.

BUT - The result would have been almost identical, whatever version of Hatton fought Floyd or Pacquiao. Especially Pacman, the style matchup is particularly bad for Hatton, literally running into Pacquiao's laser guided missiles.

    So Hatton counts for sure.

The best example is Tito though. Would bludgeon good fighters, but get absolutely fucking schooled by elite fighters, and made to look like an amateur. Hamed is second for two reasons - he looked more vulnerable against average opposition, and also he only got schooled once, before retiring with his tail between his fat little arab legs.

    Hater.

Hatton was beating Floyd and punishing him badly on a way to a KO victory but the ref got in the way and Ricky lost focus. Oh and Ricky was winning easily the 2nd round against Pacquiao when he got hit by that lucky shot he didn't see.

Fraud is hated mainly for his vile personality, his exposed inhibitions, and his insulting contradictions,.. you do have your racists who hate him because he's black and idolised by alot of black fans, but you don't have mainpages, scouring the ranks bitterly with an agenda to get rid of him, you don't have united mainpages indulging in a reminiscent fantasy of the years gone by in the welterweight division every time he dominates a fight that isn't pleasing to the eye, if Fraud or Hopkins get away with excrutiatingly boring fights,.. why can't Wlad get away with it?,...why the double standard?.. So that's when we look to 'what else could it be?' ,.. Xenophobia?,.. the fact they're from a different country?... Like the Phillipines?.. Like Africa?.. Like Mexico?.... hmmmm,... nope,.. that can't be it,... it must be Europe.... oh wait,.. a European caused such immense fanfare about being somebody who can refresh the heavyweight division recently,.. David Haye,.. fancy that,.. American mainpages considering a EUROPEAN FIGHTER as the heavyweight saviour?.... but the Klitschko's are European,..........so.....what....could....it be about David from Europe,...that exempt him from my proposed Xenophobic reason?...

:crafty:............... and that's why, I believe it plays a factor, it does play a factor Erratic.

I don't know how many other boards you visit, but Mayweather gets more hatred on message boards than any fighter. More than the Klitschkos, Pacquiao, Hopkins, etc...There's people are still shitting on him today for fighting Mosley because Mosley's old. When Floyd was "retired", people still started more threads bashing him than anyone else. After he stunk out the joint against Baldomir, there were threads all over ESB & BS bashing him for being boring, and talking about other WWs of the past (DLH for instance) being more exciting.

Even outside of the boxing forums, there were actually online petitions to try to get AT&T to drop him as a sponsor and others to boycott his PPV fight with Mosley.

Of course there's going to be SOME people who are racist or xenophobic, but that can be for anyone from anywhere. I often hear, "oh the Klitschkos would be loved if they were American", and I don't buy it. They could do better ticket sales/ratings in the US but that's about it. Since Ali, how many American HWs have really been loved in the US? One. Tyson, an aggressive (and well managed/promoted) fighter with a highlight reel of brutal knockouts, which fans love. For all the talk about how boxing is the "sweet science", the savagery and violence of the sport is its biggest appeal to fans. Holmes had more exciting fights than the Klitschkos, for one, his vulnerability against right hands made for some dramatic fights, and he wasn't very popular. And this was during a time when boxing was much bigger than it is now in the US. It took a long time for Holyfield to truly win over much of the fans. He was heavily criticized during his first title reign. You can bet that if boxing forums were around then, he would've gotten a ton of shit for his fights with Foreman, Cooper, and Holmes. Look at how many entertaining fights he had. Again, he was on top when boxing was bigger in the states.

In regards to David Haye, I think part of the appeal is that he's such a trash talker and people figure he could bring more attention to the sport with his mouth and KO power. But I haven't really found him to be all exciting lately nor do I really think much of his chances against either of the Klitschkos.

Both Fraud and Pacquiao currently get alot of hate on forums, because they've got huge fanbases behind them, and the fans of both those fighters directly clash,... I am mainly referencing the so called intellectual journalists who write for the mainpages,... there seems to be a united widespread theme that's deliberately and relentlessly put out there, that the Klitschko's have got to go by any means neccesary,.. where is the saviour to get rid of them?.. can such and such be the heavyweight saviour???... it used to be... "The heavyweight division doesn't have a dominant champion" WAAAAAAH,.. but that 'reason' died off because Wlad and Vitali became too dominant for thier liking. There's an obvious agenda behind why such flimsey properghanda is being dispursed in cycles,..they expect standards that are not met by other American heroes, or contemporary American, Phillipino, or Mexican greats, so in exposing those double standards, it just smacks of hatred, but it's a hatred that can't properly be revealed,... why??........I think it's because the hatred is coming from quite a sinister place, and they realise they can't outrightly express it, thus they use other desperate and disguised avenues,..

The mystery is,.. what is it that offends white Americans so much?,..they seem to be the ones panicking the most, is it like being used to having a white actor playing the hero in an action movie,.. only for him to be replaced by an East Indian fella?...'It jus....duznt....seem.....right!' ...I haven't quite figured it out yet Erratic,.. but one thing I'm sure of, is that ----- White + European + Heavyweight = America alarmed and scrambling, even if those journalists like to tell everybody to just ignore it,.. they can't stop expressing thier pain about it,.. so they remind everybody again 3 days later to ignore the heavyweight division,.. and then again 3 days later.. and on and on they go,........ it's pathetic.

Yeah, a good example of your dislike for him. Duran moved up two weight classes and beat an undefeated Ray Leonard.

In my observation pretty much all fighters with either extraordinary speed or extraordinary power will look spectacular against average fighters.

But at the very top level skillz pay da bills.

Hopkins and PBF get away with boring fights because they speak english and participate in and celebrate a culture that's familiar and appealing to many viewers.

Wlad, on the other hand, seemingly has no personality, shows no emotion, doesn't speak particularly good English, and exhibits no allegiance to hip-hop culture.

Said another way, given Wlad's complete lack of charisma, his only hope to be popular would be if he were in exciting fights. Since he's not, he's banished.

:atu::atu: That's fucking pathetic and you know it.

For one...he speaks better English than Hopkins, who was told by Roy Jones to get lessons. Secondly, his English is fluent, which is why he speaks better English than Hopkins.

Shows no emotion? I thought the Ivan Drago thing sold?

His come out music is RHCP, who are kind of big....ya knows?

Has no personality? How can you tell? Is your Ukrainian/Russian/German that good for you to tell? How can you tell he lacks personality via his broke ass English? :notallthere: Wow. Are you one of those diviners....psychic motherfuckers?

"He speaks not good English...I feel a cold personality.....a boring :notallthere:interior"

You're a good opening bowler,.. I start from the new posts at the bottom of the list,.. which I assume is the oldest of your tenure here for the day, so I get me goblette,..have a blowfish of a yallop, and begin REEDing,.. you always got a wicked opening wise crack or so, that tickles the dream-time toad,.. then you worm ya way into a lengthy battle somewhere,..then you slip back into an early retirement and finish off your messageboard day with some more pot-shots for the phase out.

    Warm-up, work-out, then recovery,..

Exactly as boxing fans we should be sucking his fucking dick for chasing fights like that, If Hatton hadn't chased down Floyd & Pac the two of them wouldn't be in the position they are now as superstars and such known quantities as great fighters. Give me another Ricky Hatton before 10 more Joe Calzaghe's.

You know the way to solve a jig-saw puzzle,.. it takes bits and pieces, twirled around and fitted into place,.. most of the tiles are still in the box unfortunately,..

But,.. it's like,.. I suspect you've solved the jig-saw puzzle entitled 'Drugs scandal',.. but you got it under a blanket,.. Reed lifted it up yesterday,.. and I caught a peek,... :crafty: you solved it,..you solved it,.. but how long ago?... nobody can say, nobody can say..... :crafty:

Like a judge with an outcome he fears could rock the Ark, I reserve judgment....a judicial non-decision, as it were, suspecting the worst but dismissing the case on technicality after technicality, until the most vociferous of advocates is as winded as Wilde Oscar was against his Jackson 5 namesake-nemesis....winning, but not winning....and staring listfully like the Gold lad at his daffodils, a Welsh queer-hawk on St Davids Day.

Yes, yes,.. I've EVIDENCE you'd like to run the Pacquiao file through the courtroom carwash,.. and buffer it away on the same loopholes until it's as slick as the slipstream behind an ambulance,..but circumstantial evidence, is STILL evidence,..That's what the Austrian choker and intellectual author, Jack Unterwegger, proved, by dangling from his prison cell with the same knot he throttled all Germaine Greer's sisters with,.. :crafty:

I wonder.....does Germaine have a higher sperm count than the Filipina Eunuch......never mind the rehabbed barracks bastard himself, thats only natural when Yankee troopers have too much fun in Eurodisney. The Aussie slapper shares the same name with another choker...Germaine Taylor......I wonder if she can donate her bra to Emmanuel in 20 years...too much of the T can lead to the E, and that spells flappy baps, somewhere down the line, though I am sure Mr Flintstone will have shuffled off his mortal coil by then....he wont be around, when the time to answer questions is nigh..

Nah, I think Lennox Lewis is more fitting.

Guys like Botha, no problem, dispatched with ease. When faced with an elite cruiserweight like Holyfield however, he cowers like a bitch for 12 rounds, behind a pawing jab
