One of the best examples yet.

Jones had decided long before the fight that he was going to just try to last the distance. The most Pathetic moment of the great Jones' career.

The most pathetic moment was watching him smile at Tarver during the staredown. I thought I saw yellow droplets in the middle of the ring after they returned to their corners. What a disappointment that fight was.

Yep. It's ALWAYS a bad sign when a fighter comes into the ring smiling and then smiles at his oppoent. It's always a sign that he's attempting to mask fear. Jones was a scared little bitch that night, and I'm finding it difficult to forgive him for that embarrasing display.

You know, sly - I've forgiven Roy. He knew the fight was slipping in the latter rounds and tried to go for the gusto. He won the 10th and was on the attack in the 11th before Tarver made him crip walk. And even after that, he came forward and tried - to no avail - to put Tarver away. And that speaks volumes to me, loyal nuthugger that I am.

I notice fighters who think they are going to lose have a couple of cliches they use before the fight.

    "I'm not backing down"

"I'm a lot tougher than he thinks I am"

"I REALLY believe I can beat this guy"

I'll say this... I was scared for Roy going in to that fight. I really thought there was a good chance he could be seriously hurt fighting again.

you are aren't no jones fan...:nono:...nothing but a bandwagon jumper. if you were ever a real fan of jones you would have been afraid to see him take that fight after two devastating KO loses. phonetap could barely watch that fight because he was so nervous for jones health and safety. roy had no business taking that fight and tarver had no business granting the fight...
