Is that benitez with the pink shirt coming in the ring at the end of the fight?

Very underrated Flyweight battle. Skillfully fought but also great action. This was Arbachakov’s last hurrah.

    Donald Curry Vs Emmett Linton.

Sad end. Reminded me a lot of Khan Vs Brook, a one sided beatdown where the loser took a grudge fight and showed nothing of his prior achievement or skills.

Curry looked like a guy who'd never boxed in his life.

Are you guys getting the boxing fights they show on Amazon prime? Because nobody seems to be mentioning them on the forum. So either they're not being broadcast in the US or none of y'all have Prime. Which is it?

2 great fights from Japan this week where the champ gets dropped and loses their titles by decision.

Inoue vs Tsutsumi was a pure dog fight with nonstop punching. Awesome scrap.

Tanaka vs Cafu was a clean, competitive fight with beautiful boxing shown from both guys. Very aesthetically pleasing fight to watch

He did have a tough name. Punched like a biotch though.

2 back to back wars from Tyrone Trice. His fights against Kevin Pompey and Simon Brown rematch are crazy good.

The first Brown-Trice fight might be the best WW fight of the decade. Certainly up there high on the list.

Watched Holyfield vs. Mercer. Was pretty impressive Holyfield managed to knock Mercer down. Nice performance from both guys.

Tubby was doing well for a little while. Then came Tyson’s famous right hook/right uppercut combo and a left hook, and that was it.

    Great fight.

Ruslan landed the heaviest shots, but got outworked in too many rounds.

    Davey Moore vs Roberto Duran

Moore’s camp shoulda been fired for allowing this,…especially in the heels of Duran’s demolition of a still pretty dangerous Pipino Cuevas.
Way too early for a young, very talented yet too inexperienced Moore to face a rejuvenated Duran.
Hands of Stone literally tortured Moore,
and smiled and sneered like an axe murderer while he did it.

Insane fight this one is. I’d pick this or Garza vs Ishii as FOTY 1999 over Tapia vs Ayala 1 IMO.

Tapia vs Ayala 1 was a good fight but lacked the crazy pace, brutality and drama that those 2 fights had.

John Meekins vs Santos Cardona is another overlooked war. Great toe to toe fight. Both Meekins and Cardona have also been in a number of exciting fights. Might start rewatching some of their bouts.

Rewatched this in light of Big George’s death.

Despite being behind, Foreman did land a fair amount of heavy shots throughout the fight. I think he hurt Moorer early in round 8, but Moorer came back strong later in the round.

I can kind of see how Moorer got overconfident in his ability to take Foreman’s punches, as he had been taking them pretty well before round 10.
