I agree. B-Hop finds away to win. Pace control and rough housing etc. I don't think it's ugly; just "High speed Chess". Hop SD :eek:ld:

I just want to remind all the B-Hop fans out there Little J Taylor, beat your boy twice.....thats 2 times.

And a lot of you guy's are going on about B-Hops win over Tarver, That result could have been different if Tarver fought like he did at the weekend.

In short Im sticking with my prediction that Joe will be stopping old man hopkins.

I'd like to remind you that KABARY SALEM had calzaghe DOWN and hurt and Sakio Bike had Calzaghe complaining and whinging to the ref at several intervals.

    Are they better than Hopkins?

I'd like to remind you that Joe came into his prime over the last few years and Hopkins is old.

Lets keep it in the present. Fact of the matter is that bum Taylor beat hopkins twice granted B-hop did beat Tarver but he was a shadow of himself, where as Joe is coming off the best period in his career.

Joe made hard work of Kessler, B-Hop beat Taylor twice, Tarver would beat Joe and B-hop destroyed him. B-Hop is stronger than joe, smarter than joe and a better ring general

don't ignore the fact that calzaghe was all over the place against the likes of Salem, a VERY poor mans hopkins and SAKIO BIKA.

If you are using the word "bum", please include them

Like fuck Tarver would have beaten Joe, granted tarver was decent last weekend but he was awful around the time he fought B-Hop.

Lets stick to the facts Taylor 2 Bhop 0.

And it is amazing how much Kessler's stock has plummeted since Joe beat him. IMO Hopkins doesnt hit as hard as Kessler and Joe took the best he had to offer.

    BTW Kessler would KO Taylor.

    Lets stick to the facts,

lewis Holyfield 1 was a clear draw
    etc

    Tarver would beat Joe,

hopkins hits harder than kessler and is much better

calzaghe got dropped by bums and whinging to his hometown refs "hes using his head ref" "ref hes being rough".

Whats he going to say when hopkins starts being rough? "ref.. oh i forgot im not in my home town"

Lewis - Holyfield who gives a flying fuck.

Made hard work of Kessler... the guy was easily the biggest threat in the division and Joe clearly beat him.

And before Hopkins got found out by Taylor what was he up too...oh yeah thats right fighthing Welter weights, bravo!!

No one on this board would argue that Joe peaked late in his career.

since we were talking about facts, i thought lewis holyfield was applicable. of course i could have added more "facts". the real fact is that hop beat Taylor twice and lewis beat holyfield of course.

tarver is better than anyone joe has beaten. hopkins record is miles better than calzaghes. hopkins is 43 and still a lot of people think he can beat calzaghe who you claim is in his prime. What does that say about calzaghe?

So, the fact that he's slower now than he was against Jeff Lacey makes Calzaghe 'in his prime'?
Cos he sure isn't a better 'boxer'.

    Wrong.

Calzaghe's, ahem, 'prime' was against the Tocker Pudwills and the Will McIntyres of this world. :shit: :shit:

Now that is funny or maybe more ridiculous, you will always have different opinions on fights regardless of age or status.

BTW what makes Tarver so great...

You obviously do not know the meaning of the word fact....
But I will leave you with one little fact, Junior Witter the #2 light welter in world. :tease:

He looked as good as he ever has against Kessler, and that was his best opponent since Lacy.

So it's difficult to say when he peaked exactly, but I think it's safe to say he hasn't lost a step.

I think you guys have gone ga-ga over this guy since the Lacy fight. :dunno:

    a) he's definately slowd down
    b) he's shown once that he can outbox a plodding bum

By the way I made a mistake on my last post, I meant to say the best opponent since Eubank. Kessler is of course much, much better than Lacy - spineless danish pastry or not.

Mustard - you seem to be just pullnig bullshit out of thin air. Are you just having a nause, or do you believe what you say?

Calzaghe looked as fast against kessler as he did against Lacy, and lacy is slower than kessler.

Where are you getting this slowed down rubbish exactly? How has he slowed down, when he looked as fast as ever against the danish pastry?

I'm not sure whether or not this is because he peaked late OR, as Joe himself has said many, many times, he simply needs better quality opponents to bring the best out of him.

I mean, look at how average he looked against Bika and Salem- give Attraction that at least- Joe looked pretty damn shitty in these fights.

BUT, on the occasions he faced better opponents, his standards go up drastically. His four 'biggest' opponents- Eubanks, Mitchell, Lacy and Kessler- brought out unquestionably the four best performances of his career to date.

This is one of the reasons I fancy him to win on Saturday- he knows he'll have to be at his best, and when that is the case, he almost always is...

Calzaghe is certainly one of the best examples of someone who fights to the level of opposition.
