Virtually no one is picking Ortiz which is a great thing for him...makes his surprise KO of Floyd that much more shocking.

Makes for a great Sunday morning story.

Based on how Ortiz has held up mentally, and the fact that Floyd is not getting any younger, I would go out on a limb and say Ortiz will surprise the world after getting dropped a few times, and come back to win a late TKO against Floyd. He will eventually tag and hurt PBF, though it will take time and Ortiz will have to endure some rough rounds to do so.

PBF UD is too boring to root for. Gimme Ortiz by TKO round 11.

Then post-fight a lot of "he on something..... he ain't right.... he wad'nt natural.... against Berto either..... shoulda taken more tests...." from team Floyd.

Outlander, you realise Ortiz is an awful finisher right? Especially considering his impressive offense, he has some of the worst finishing ability in world boxing.

Maidana, Peterson and Berto, all 3 were hurt and ready to be finished, and he couldn't finish any of them.

He'd have to knock Floyd cold to stop him, if he just hurts Floyd, Floyd is too crafty and too good defensively, he'll easily whether the storm.

Mayweather by decision or late stoppage. Probably decision.

Ortiz will win some early rounds.

If it goes the distance, Ortiz will only win 2-3 rounds at most imo.

Ortiz seems like a decent enough guy and his background is definitely intriguing/tragic, full credit to him for even appearing civilized with an upbringing like that... the fact is, he just isn't all that good a fighter... he's alright enough to win a title in a crap era for boxing, but unless Floyd magically ages overnight, Ortiz has nothing for him... he's a strong kid, has some power, but that's about it... there isn't a whole lot of skill there, his instincts are ordinary, he can't finish and he loves to swallow right hands... It takes more than just strength and pressure to beat a guy like Floyd, you have to have the skills necessary to bob and weave away from those rights, give Floyd a tiny moving target, feint him into a defensive reaction and find the opening... I don't see Ortiz having any of the smarts and skills needed to do anything like that

I would have gone to the bar..but my son and his friends are sleeping over tonight so bar wasn't an option. Not seeing the fight is also not an option. So I have been forced to pay $69.99 for this fight. It better be worth it unlike the Mosley Pacquiao debacle!
